Hey Sean, Can you tell them to put me down for one of each design? I'm not registered there, so I was hoping you could post my name over there for me, and give them my e-mail address: 99gst.racer at gmail.com. Thanks, man.

Sure. Its quick and easy to sign up though, I did yesterday took me 2 min but if you don't want to I will put you down.

Edit: I put you down for one of each paul

I got my fuel cell back from JMF yesterday. They anodized it black for me to hold up against E85 which is all this car will see and welded on a bracket for my external pump(still in the air between the magnafuel 4303 and the fuel lab 4202-1). I also decideed that I'm gonna go with the FIC high impediance 2150cc injectors they have out now. They are similar to the ID2000's but cheaper.

Sean, please do me the favor of continuing this build in the builds section instead of this thread. I know you prefer using the forums for stuff like this (as most people have gotten used to the forum thread format for builds), but I've put a lot of effort into creating a section that is more conducive to documenting builds and it would really bring a smile to my face if those people who prefer using threads for builds would honor all the hard work I've put in by using that section instead of continuing to post build updates in threads.

I've retitled the section to DSM Journals, since the term "blog" seemed to be an issue for some people. The real goal is to keep all builds in one section where anyone can easily find them without having to search the forums.

I'd appreciate it man.

It's no secret this is my favorite site and I owe a lot of what I know to this site and since you are the originator I try to comply with the rules and request that you and your mods make.

With that said I do see what you mean about how the blog setup is suposed to work but to be honest with you I actually like it better the way I was doing it then making a new update every time because there is no way to see all the updates one after the other when you do it like that. This thread has over 800 replies and 35k views or something like that and I know that people who are interested like to have conversations about stuff not just look at the pictures sometimes that's why I still update this thread. I know that rich and some of the other guys have expressed the same feelings and concerns. I will make updates in the blog(journal) section the way everyone else is doing to show that I'm not totally against that way just I believe and others as well that for discussion purposes a thread is easier to go back and check everything.

ROFL Sean will be the king of blogs/diaries... the way me makes an update evertime he turns a bolt

ROFL So true though

I actually got the idea from the build thread (rely on ability) I forget the author but I know that he posted pics and talked about everything he did so anyone could come behind him and kinda use the information to help them with whatever they were building. I figure god willing this thing ends up running and putting down the power and times that it should everyone will have plenty of good info on one way to build a 9 sec car and everything that it takes to do so.

We can easily keep track of your updates by clicking on the Journal Entry count in your posts (under your avatar) in the forums, or, we can click on your username in one of your updates . Those two links will take us to your journal here, where all your entries live:
DSM Forums - Slippi84

That page lists all of the updates you've posted. And there are several ways to get to that page. From there, I can easily move from one update to another without having to sift through replies. If you click on the most recent entry on that page, the one at the top titled "Project 9's No COmpromise Update", you can read the entry pretty easily and then read comments down below the update. Near the bottom of the update there are links you can click to move to your next or previous journal updates (Prev, Main, Next links in the dark gray bar). So actually, it is pretty easy to navigate between updates.

I think it's just a matter of learning how to use the section and finding the features to make it work the way it was intended. Some simply won't want to use it regardless of the benefits. But I expect everyone to at least try it and respect the fact that we're moving in that direction for builds. Thanks for understanding Sean. I do appreciate it.

One thing you should do if you want people to come away with good information is to include a link to this thread in your blog. This way, if people find the build in the DSM Journals section, they can be linked to more info here. Think of the journal as the main source of information that you're leaving for future enthusiasts to read. They may never come across this thread. ;)

I stand corrected then. I will give it a whirl :thumb:

CHris one more thing you need to do is have it so it alerts me when someone comments on a blog/journal entry just like a thread. Because otherwise I have to go into the blog and check it every so often just to know if someone asked me a question

This is kinda a joke because everyone said there was only one place they hadn't seen me work on something in my appartment LOLoLOL

ROFL!

Sean, that is hilarious! My wife would kill me if she ever found me wet-sanding my turbo compressor cover in the bathtub!

What made you switch out the HX52 setup?!

The HX52 setup would have almost def been good enough for my goals but the new setup was kinda calling my name every where I turned and believe it or not I made money switching setups and once you see what the new setup really is everyone will understand.

Good job, Sean.. Glad you making progress/ditched the aeromotive pump, got rid of HX-52 and got even bigger 4294R/.. I haven't been on your thread for a while.

About the wet sending, I had a stash of fine grits/from320 to 1500/ between the sink and bathtub. my wife allways complained, but I did there a few VC's, manifold and catch can...She knew, how important is the car to me.. GL..

Eactly. If the guys who are saying my wife would kill me really showed their wifes how important dsms were to them then I bet half of them could do what I do too. That or they need new wifes LOL.

Look atcha bro, switchin shells... Switchin turbos...

You are starting to remind me of a certain somebody LOL! See It all comes with the territory and the conquest for your own representation of your personal ideal car. As I mentioned before, the further along you got in your build, the more you'd understand where I was coming from with things I had said or done. No hard feelings man, you live and you learn.

ITs awesome seein' the progress going. My Talon has been mute only because of a little secret something something I have been cooking up that people would only know about if they frequented the 14b racer thread. =P I'll be posting that up this weekend so people know why I've been so incognegroe.

Keep up the good work man, still a whole let left, but every step counts. Thumbs up!

Yeah to be honest if it weren't for how cheap I got the GT4294 for I wouldn't have switched but as for shells It's like a canvas and you can't start with a half ass canvas and make a badass painting or car. I think your shell is def top notch just like mine. I just like to do as much as possible so it's still a build. Just like you do did your wire tuck and other things to make your car your own I did stuff to try and make mine my own....problem is now the car is too much like when casey had it ROFL. Oh well I have a few things he didn't and vise versa so it isn't the exact same car.

As for your secret thing hope it's something good. Putting something in 14b drag thread would be like hiding the answer to the meaning of life between the legs of a 400lb woman....just not even worth loking for.
