Yeah, those don't look ike Wiseco HDs. If they're Wisecos, there will be Wiseco part number on the face of each one. Also, what's 'trashed' about the pistons? You must be logged in to view this image or video.
Pistons are trashed, not even sure if they are wiseco hds
The rod was put in a vise it looks like. The rod were over torqued causing the cap to distort. The piston looks like it was hit with something. Nice...... Well one thing he didn't half ass was the block. It was 100 percent rigged up.
Thanks Ed. Hope everything is going good for ya up in North Jersey. I will def bring the car up your way when it's done.
Yeah anyone that thinks you have to be a master to build a nice car Ed will tell you not long ago at all my first talon was at his house because I didn't want to risk doing certain things back when I first got into dsm's because I wasn't familiar with the platform enough. Now the only stuff I really need help with is machine work and welding.
Small update. I actually got the COP and the pistons a couple days ago but my internet was down but anyway now you can see how close I am to finally getting this motor done and in.

The pin won't verify the piston. It could very well be a heavy wall HD pin with some other piston...Well they are wiseco there is a part number on the wrist pin, w8-E22b. Can anyone confirm this? I have been reading through the thread can't find where he bought them.

I saw this on fb and about shit! I couldn't figure out how someone could assemble a motor that bad....
That really blows and best of luck getting it resolved.
Not trying to debate anything. I've been selling Wiseco pistons for as long as I've been a member of this site. I'm Just trying to help you figure out what they are based upon what I know. No sense in mailing them to a company just for them to read the dish for you when you can do that for yourself. Just ignore me if you don't want help.Lol dude its ok, I just emailed wiseco, and will be sending them to them. If these are not what they are suposed to be I will purchase what Im suposed to have. Its not a debate, just trying to salvage what I can. If they are hds then great, if not then I will get HDs. No sweat.

Only 7-bolt pistons run 22mm pins. HD or not, 6-bolts run 21mm pins.Do regular wiseco come with 22mm wristpins?

Understandable. I would be too if I were you. Situations like this are exactly why I'd NEVER buy a used engne over the internet unless it were just a core. Especially when price isn't an issue. Live and learn though.Oh ok no I am listening, just a little upset.
All sets of Wisecos will come with a spec sheet. But without having a good image of that one, I can't tell if it's anything different from the norm. What is the custom spec sheet.
If I were you, I'd call wiseco on Monday and find out what that "ASC" number is. That's usually where the part number would be, but their part numbers begin with a "K".If they were custom how would I tell. Do you have a set laying around?
. So I held off.
