Being that you waited a year +/- to realize this about the motor, I don't really see anything happening in the legal side of things. I could be wrong and all but that's quite some time to even have a motor, and just let it sit there. A normal buyer would take it apart and at least inspect it right away.

I hope it works out for you though. I seen your thread on Link forums. You're doing great so far. Keep it up.

I have to agree with this right here. He could easily argue that in the year that you've owned it that you did these things. Then it will also be brought up that since you bought it used, you were buying it "as is" unless a warrenty was specified on purchase of the engine. But good luck anyway.

It was stated that all parts were new and ready to run. I saved all emails and correspondence. The limit for a civil matter in the state of TX is 2years. I had the motor and had not gone through it because I knew that I would have it rebuilt. I really bought it for the parts. Do to the way he assembled the motor, he pretty much destroyed most of them. I understand what you are saying, but never the less he had no right.

I have tried to contact him by email, phone, pms and PayPal notified him. He has not responded.

Well.. In my eyes here, you should've never bought it. If you say, "I really bought it for the parts. Do to the way he assembled the motor, he pretty much destroyed most of them." If you knew this and thought this, why did you buy the motor? I completely agree with what you're doing and such and it's sad to see it happen to you, but everything added up. You set yourself up for failure here.

I know the parts were damaged, duh. Why are you trying to rub. Lol bro this is such a minor set back. I am blessed. While I'm sueing him, I will be building this car. If I can't bounce back from this then what happens when something breaks at the track. I'm not feeling sorry for myself. Others could not afford to go out and buy more parts. I can, so as stated, I will move on. What has to be done has to be done, I have a great guy on my team now and he won't let this happen again. Besides that I have met a lot of great people on here and tuners. One guy just posted a quoted pic of the front of the motor where you could see the thrust bearing facing the pump. If those old schools didn't see it, how was a noob like me supposed to catch anything. Now stop rubbing it in, and sit back and watch the magic. I will give thread a happy ending.:p:thumb:

Yes lets get onto the project, there is a big bright light at the end of this tunnel, just a bump in the road, now the build goes on.

Just got off the phone with Jeff from wiseco. The a at the beginning of the part#, designates it as a custome piston. It is built off an HD platform. They were made for Jeff at Slow Boy. He is emailing me the spec sheet. He said that one piston is fine just need to clean it up a bit. That's a good thing because I can't just have one made. So that is great news. I ordered new rings and wrist pin locks. Now for the rods.

Ok, I gotta ask, do the rods have a bearing set pin? If so do you have any pics of how the hole in the bearing was drilled? Just curious comedy......

Not sure rods are at R&R getting inspected. I'm just happy the pistons were saved.

For now on I will only put motor progress here. Just to give thread an happy ending. The rest will be on my blog.

Heard from Mike at R&R, the rods are fine. He laughed at how beat to hell they are, and had never been ran. But they checked out fine. He is cleaning up those gashes and honeing out the wrist pen holes as well as the big end. He is also replacing the L19s. I'm very happy they could be saved. He is emailing me invoice when they are done, more paperwork for my attorney.ROFL

great project wish i had the time to take on something like this

You don't want to take on a project like this.:D
