Ive been looking around on the site and just looking at some ways to set my 95 gs-t up for a good/decently fast DD. If youve read my previous thread, I was talking about how I had some problems with the car. Black smoke, bogging, terrible gas mileage, high idling, and my untuned safc.

Okay so anyway, I have a list of items I feel like I need after doing some research and what I feel like I've comprehended. Correct me if I am wrong because I am a noob at all this stuff. :coy: This set up (or basically just list of mods I plan on doing) is gonna be made for a DD...ATLEAST trying to get ~300hp or maybe more if I can. Believe I have a t3/t4 turbo..not really sure. :idontknow:

List:
FIC 650cc injectors
EVO MAF (i believe i just have a stock eprom, no dsmlink, but a afc)
Aeromotive AFPR w/gauge
Walbhro 255
AEM Wideband or Inovate
..and tuning the afc

I know I am missing stuff..brain fart :ohdamn: I just dont wanna go into heavy tuning or stuff like that. So dont suggest the dsmlink.

but anyway, can i get your opinion on this?
add to the list if needed. :D

Knowing the turbo you plan on running, not just t3/t4 since it doesn't tell us much, would be beneficial since it can GREATLY change your supporting mods. "Heavy" tuning isn't required when you're using ECMLink and that would be the mod that I would move to the top of the list. An SAFC and a wideband won't cut it, you'll need some sort of logger as well.

Everyone that has run an SAFC has regretted it, save up for ECMLink and you'll never have to mess around with logging/tuning software again. The DSM you own is a '95, that means you possibly have an EPROM ECU, which is what you'd need to run ECMLink in the first place. EPROM ID

i agree, throw that afc in the trash. at minimum, use v3 lite. Its sooo much better for obvious reasons.

1.ecm link
2.mbc
3.660's
4. evo 16g
5. boost guage
6. wideband 02
7. intake bov exhaust
that would be a decent street car if tuned properly.

mbc? i dont know what that is. already have a boost gauge, intake, bov, and exhaust....hks ssqv, not sure what intake, apexi n1 full 3in from downpipe? to back , 6 bolt swap ("built" but i dont think it is), spearco fmic, idk what turbo he just said t3/t4 (the guy i bought the car from) its a pretty big turbo though...idk... some other mods.

this is my second car ive ever owned (first 01' mustang gt) got this from a guy a month or two back..so this is my first "supposedly heavily modded" car...hence why i am a straight up noob, but im trying to learn. only 17 by the way....

MBC = Manual Boost Controller.

Like we told you on your other thread, post pictures of your turbo and everything else and we can help you figure out what you have.

jusst want to have this car running right while being a fast dd

and yeah i have an mbc then

well i wont up to go see the car in storage today (sits in a garage not heated or anything) and weve recently had -25 degree temps here in indiana..the car wouldnt start..i go up there every other week or two and just run it for a little bit...but today it wouldnt start? the last time however i did have to jump it worked and this time i tried to but didnt work. is this just due to the extreme cold temperatures? bad battery?

and i was going to take pics today when i was there but was too dark unfortunately

probly an ebay t3/t4. get yourself an evo3 16g with 2g manifold with those 650 injectors just need dsmlink and you are gold!

Heck if the guy knew enough to even do a 6 bolt swap he probably would know better than to get an ebay turbo, always good to check though!

Agreed definitely get DSMLink. That will bring everything together nicely!

yes, i bought this car as is. didn't know i would have so much trouble with a modded car (as it is my first), but i guess it will just be a learning experience for me.

i would get a dsmlink, but i have no clue how to do anything with my car, hence the reason i joined this site so i could learn. the closest professional tuner/performance shop from where i live is atleast two+ hours away.

Check what is the issue with your starting problem first, batteries?? Need block heater?? Starter?? Whatever it is.

Buying a modded car has its pros and cons, pro is you get all these nice parts, but you dont know the condition of the car and parts. So it would've been best to learn from scratch(stock). And always perform leak down test when buying a turboed car. Performance matters.
But regardless, tuning can be tough and confusing but theres lots of sources.

ECM tuning help and FAQ
ECMTuning, Inc.

You might want to make sure your gauges are working properly or is a reputable brand, as knock offs can be faulty causing more problems. Mainly the MBC and accurate boost reading matters most. Monitorings (ECMlink) comes first before any upgrades. After monitoring, you WILL want to upgrade your fuel system second, Since the "HUGE" turbo is out spooling your fuel supply.
-fuel pump 255 before anything as injectors are still crap without pump support
-Adjustable Fuel Pressure Regulator (AFPR)
-650-750cc injectors
-buy a A/F Wideband too if u already dont have one.
Or buy them all if you got the cash!!

With tune, Then you're good as "gold":thumb:

when i did go see the car, i looked at the turbo closely since i havent before and its definitely an ebay turbo. it said turbocharger on it. but still not sure what kind it is...i wanna say its a 16g.
