I got a MBC from a buddy for 20$ today...

And I've tryed setting it up the following ways

1- NO "T" just the controller.. from jpipe(top) to wastegate(bottum with the arrow) * NO LUCK*

2- Using the T.. Run the J pipe to the oppsite side of the t that the arrow is on.. run the wastegate to the arrrow.. Run the red top to the controller with the arrow.. and the top "t"ed in with bov..*NO LUCK*

3- Same as above but to the throttle body instead of t-ing into the bov line..didn't control ANY BOOST just like I was running no controller.
the big item I can blow in and out of both sides.. if i turn it to the + more i can blow easier and - it's harder...

the t.. I can't blow against the arrow.. i'm lost.. PLEASE HELP! :(

My recommendation would be to get a new boost controller if it isn't wanting to function. They are very simple to build and designs like that just complicate something that is supposed to be simple.

haha so true. the extra $5 probably is for the got boost? sticker and hoses. if you're venturous enough you can make your own with home depot parts for even cheaper. the hardest part is finding the right spring and a properly sized ball, but you can get spring assortments from harbor freight.

i made one for a friend and we couldn't find a ball that would work, so i used a drywall screw and it actually worked. i don't recommend doing this but anything that can seal on the inside of an npt fitting will work.

Well i gotta use this POS.. I gotta run to the track tonight and tommorow.. so ANY HELP WOULD BE GREAT.. i'll take pictures how i have it set up!

here is how it's set up!

anyone!

get rid of the tee and put the controller between the j-pipe nipple and the wastegate. don't forget to cap the nipple on the MAF. if it doesn't work then, throw it down the terrlet.

it doesn't matter. if you restrict the flow (but really it's pressure) to the wastegate it will open later (not later but a different pressure) giving you more boost. routing it like you had it is bad and stock gets away with it because it is an constant-sized orifice inside a solenoid that regulates the air bled off the wastegate signal.

Sorry it took awhile to respond i said I would post a pic of how i did it so here it is.. I works fine for me like this cant beat it for $20
