Yeah, I picked up one of the plus models last year and didn't get around to installing it. Now I'm really tempted to upgrade and put the one back on ebay or something.

I don't need the TCU functions to shift at certain rpm/throttle position.

I plan to hookup newer evo paddles and shift that way. I don't mind it acting as if it's a true manual valve body.

If anyone has the basic with the screen and buttons and looking to upgrade... let me know!

I'm also debating on buying it, but I don't know how good it would be as far as normal driving goes. I wonder if it can give you the same options a chipped tcu does...

My brothers 1g uses a chipped tcu and its just so easy to use. You wont give up normal driveabilty at all. On auto mode hes got full line pressure at wot and preset shiftpoints, and during normal driving its basically like a normal car.
On manual mode you can shift manually at full line pressure at all times, all you need to do is press a button (power/eco).

I have one and don't plan on using it

Dammit I really wasn't planning on getting one right now but I may have to. I was planning on getting one of the last DSM lites now I'm thinking SMART instead. Mountainbiker did you order or try the smart yet? I'm curious as to how it compares.

im still using the light, its mad nice to use with a 3g shifter

I have the Smart 100.1 and have been playing with it for the last week or so. Install is simple, setup is pretty straight forward. I will be doing a review of it in the near future.

Just a couple videos to get started. Lots more to come. Wonderful TCU and 1/4 the size.
