Noticeable clutch engagement clank sound

Just wondering if this is something I should check into. It feels smooth on the engagement, but I can hear a slight, but noticeable "clank" sound much of the time going into just about any gear - definitely in 3rd and 4th. It's really noticeable when I'm driving next to a wall or barrier where the sound is a little amplified, but I can hear it in open air as well. Sometimes it's a little louder, sometimes it doesn't make a noise at all. I'd say it does it about 80-90% of the time.

I don't know the history of the car or what type of clutch is in there, how old it is, or even if the guy putting in the clutch knew what he was doing. I just know my 1g has never sounded like this.

You know Luda... I have this sound too. Kinda right when you let out the clutch and it makes a clank and you're like wtf. I've never really worried about it too much due to the fact I am still driving my car daily. I thought it came from welding the center diff, but apparently not.
