Hey guys I need HELP.
I'm doing a 1g 4g63t engine swap into a pickup my problem is it just cranks, no start. I have spark and fuel, timing is good don't know what else to look for ?

Need help please I have video of sparking and injectors firing and YES NEW GAS in it.

There is too much to cover without more diagnostics and info on your part.

Fuel is good, but are you pushing the right pressure? Is your air metering and sensing good (vacuum leak, boost leak, MAF)? Is the ECU in good condition? Did the engine run without a problem before you did the swap, or are you starting with an unknown engine? Maybe you have bent valves, so no compression?

If you haven't already, check out the following thread: How To Diagnose A No-Start

If you've already gone through that thread, recommend doing a compression check and checking all of your grounds and connections. Is there any additional info you can you give us?

Compression 150 Plus. Brand new fuel pump. ECU done by ECMTuning, EPROM conversion. If I spray fuel in intake manifold engine will start but of course surely it does, now what? 🤷

Hey guy I want to say thank you. I don't mean to sound ignorant but I just don't know what else to do. And I really do appreciate the help

If you spray fuel into the intake and it starts, then you either have a fuel delivery problem (not enough gas) or you have an air flow problem (too much air). It is also possible the injectors aren't atomizing the fuel well enough, or staying open long enough. Also possible your system isn't compensating for a cold start (fuel pressure boost). Could also be bad plugs (weak spark, when combined with poor fuel atomization in a cold engine... grasping at straws and ideas here...)

I 100% understand.

I removed the fuel injectors put them on a piece of wood hookup to the fuel rail and have them firing with the pump running. I can see fuel spreading out I have a video of it. It just doesn't make sense to me.

And yes a have an aftermarket and take manifold

Yes I am running a 1G ECU I did get it to start but it was hard to do so it's currently running on three cylinders only because I know I have a bad injector thank you for checking in thu. But like I said is hard to star any input are appreciate!!!

Check your logs for "keystart'. It should show a "1" when cranking it until it starts, if not, they are a BEAR to get started. Your temperature switch in the thermostat housing is also a must on these motors, so check it for a good connection and known working signal back to the ECU.

I don't have a Data Logger but how would you go about testing the engine coolant temp sensor with a multimeter

I mean this with the utmost respect, but you are attempting to swap a motor into another vehicle with a bunch of different parts on it with no ability to tune or datalog?

Testing the coolant temp sensor is a simple resistance test vs a chart on temperature.

I'm sorry if YOU misunderstood
I'm using OME engine wiring OEM ECU and fuel injectors it shouldn't be any issues why it's not turning on. Just asking what can cost an no star.
By the way this will be my second swap if you are a DSM guy! you should know what a Hyundai excel I had the 4g63t in that.
