So I've been trying to wrap up my build and been trying ti figure out why my WB keeps blinking 7.4 and why my battery keeps draining after a charge. I took my old alternator into autozone and had them test it. it was bad. got a new one and bolted it back up. I then jump started my car (which always work). I let it charge and over night it had already drained on me.

I finally decided to take my battery in (it's probably 1.5 years old) and they tested it but no crank power according to Advance Auto. I decided to get the cheaper of the two batteries available and headed home. I got home and put in the new battery. As soon as i put my key in the ignition and turn it to ON my WB guage no longer blinks 7.4, it's at 22.0. i then temporarly put the 02 in my exhaust and try to start the car. it cranks but won't start. however the guage is reading 11.0 and fluctuates when i try to start.

Every time prior to me starting the car it started up right away even though it has all been by jumping my car. I have not made any other changes to the car. I do have my fuel pump ran back to my positive terminal. no audio equipment but i do have 3 gauges. i'm thining i should return the battery i bought yesterday for the top of the line battery. maybe that will help?

It seems like you have a short somewhere and its killing (draining) your battery overnight. This is a great thread to finding it and it will keep you from spending more money than you already have...
