ignition not strong enough??

ok on my90 eagle talon tsi awd im gettin plenty of fuel into the engine, pulled the plugs out and coverd in fuel. did a spark test by doin the ol screwdriver in a spark plug boot trick, and i get some spark. could my ignition not be good enough or what?? somone please help me i need to get this car runnin before snow falls so i can put my 97 nissan altima showcar up for the winter

What's the gap on the plugs?

gap is set to what ever it says on the bottom of the hood, im not sure off the top of my head

With the screwdriver you should get at least a 1/2" spark to the engine. If not your coil is weak (typical when they get old).

allright il try the coil. any other suggestions guys?
