I'm very curious about that too. I've seen 2700hz. And the maf isn't hacked. I'm at 100ft above sealevel when I race and AT sealevel when I tune :). But still your altitude shouldn't make it that hard. You should definately be in the 450+ whp range with the 2g maf before overrunning it. Too many others with higher altitude have done it.

ROFL that advice is definately for helping you beat the guy next to you. You could sit at that line for as long as you want. Hence why when you see some drag cars sit there for a second or 2 after the lights change to green....you just go when you want to :thumb:

I know. I'm a moron. Honestly, every time that I've raced at the track I've been so worried about that amber light that I usually do something like bog or the opposite, burn. And it's been frequent :( . Everyone learns something all the time. Even if it makes them feel foolish.

Mr. Peepers would probably give you a better answer than I could. But I thought the 2g mas read up to around 50lbs/min and after that they really aren't able to read any higher airflow. For some random after I went past the 50lbs/min it would automatically knock even though there was no reason for it. When I turned down the boost and was only flowing around that 50lbs/min it was fine. We figured it just "knocked" due to the fact that it wasn't able to read that amount of airflow... but I could be wrong.

50ish lb/min is about 2700-3000hz give or take for ambient conditions. I was saying that the limit is about 50lb/min. :) So you were pushing that flow at 25psi and a stock rev limit . . .

A tad after 50 lb/min the hertz graph would look like a Richter scale during an earthquake, the lean spikes would then cause the knock. 25 psi kept it at or just under 50lb/min around 7k.

That's about the limit. Defiinately maf overrun. Mine JUST bearly gets a little spiky. Not really that bad, but just a little unstable. I run real rich to keep it from doing damage. Nice to see that over 50lb/min can be done at only 25psi, a 2L, and the stock intake manifold OMG .

well that confirms it, you guys are right after 2900hz my logs would spike to 3080hz and fall to around 2400hz, the hx40 is really sweet compared to the hx35.

With a SMIM/FP2's/EV3 head I get 56-57lb/min peak on 25-26psi.

Congrats,
I love how everyones best e/t videos are always beating a Mustang. Reminds me why i'm here every time i see one. Post up another video when that thing dips in the 10's, so close.

Haha thanks. I think that stang went like 14.99 on that run... If my car is done by the 27th I am going back to the track in a quest for tens. That day is also my birthday and my 21 birthday at that!

we have a track like that near me.. at one track you run 3 tenths faster.

From what I heard the track isn't down hill its just up hill at the end so it makes it seem like it does go down hill...

Well if it isn't raining track day tomorrow! Only thing that I have really changed is twin wally's and a alignment to fix my camber issues. Tonight hopefully play with the boost and get everything dialed in!

while your at it tonight ya better add some more timing, ya know, just to be safe. I wanna see this thing in the 10s for your Bday
