Well We got the car finished just in time for the shootout. Only had time for a little bit of a street tune. Also first time getting to launch the car with new clutch, turbo etc. Still ony street tires. Pretty happy to be starting at 11.1 one this year and working from there. Running 34 psi right now.

What are you shifting at with your car? Also what does your car weigh. I thought on that turbo you'd make more mph at that boost level. I not saying that car isn't fast, but you have alost of parts on your car.

shifting at 9.2k... it has mph for 10's, but we had limited time and this only on a street tune. Got a bit of lag in second gear. In the video you can see it picks up alot of speed down the track in 3rd gear. We should be going to dyno in the next week or two to add more timing. We don't have much time spent on the current tune. There is alot left in it. I'm just glad that on a base tune we are starting at 11.1

not sure what the car weighs with me in it. I'll be sure to post up base line on dyno and after tuning pull. I also banged the rev limiter on both runs. I have no tach right now and my shift light is hard to see. I picked up 4 mph in the 1/8 one run from the other. Also only building 6psi off the line

Hey slim, since others just cant seem to simply say congratulations let me be one of the first to. CONGRATS!!! Great job. :hellyeah:

What A/R size is the turbine housing? If you have L19 headstudds rock that turbo to 40psi where its going to be effictive. Use FLS and put antilag on with the clutch (enrich to atleast 10%) and that will keep the boost up between gears. What has made the biggest diffrence in my racing is an incar cam, it doesnt have to be a gopro (i use a cheapo) The data from the in car is invaulable, trust me thats the best mod ive done this year. Nice work on that mani, thats how im building mine, reverse engineering from sheps.

Lol, you guys realize that the car was together two weeks before the shootout and I spent no more than 2-3 hours on tune?? Thats the third total time he has ran the car on the new setup. I am extremely happy with the mph with no more time that has been spent on the car. We struggled just to get the car there and didnt have to work on it once while we were there.

Congrats chris and that ten second pass on crapass all season will be very soon my man ;)

I was in the same situation with last minute tuning then hitting the track so I understand LOL. What was the a/f ratio and if you don't mind telling how much peak timing was the car running?

Yeah, it was a mad rush to get the car done to say the least, LOL. I know its rich but I wanted to play it safe since its mainly pumpgas 93. Afrs now are 11-11.2 peak timing at 43 psi is 18*. Car made 615 on the tune it was on in the video at 35 psi. After getting it leaned out a bit the car made 630/441 at the same boost level. Once the boost was turned up it currently makes 707/473. Didnt want to lean on the setup too hard so we are pretty happy with the outcome and the car walks all over the rode now in a second gear pull, LOL.

He plans to go to another local 1/4 mile track on oct23. Just ordered some dr's for it last night so I am very interested to see how the car performs now :)

The car is badass! With the drag radials, some more tuning, and some seat time the times will have no choice but to fall. Good luck fellas!:thumb:

How rich was it at 35psi?

Super congrats on your accomplishment. Slapping on a street tune and still pulling off some low 11's is awesome. Did notice you have tons of mph. SO you def have a 10 sec car. Work on the launch and shift points. Do one thing diff on each pass and experiment. Thats what test n tune track days are for!
Imagine what the outcome woudl be at a 1.5 60 ft? see?
