11.1XX on a T-25??

I have to think the exhaust housing/wastegate path is ported to oblivion.

But this same philosophy has been done several times and everyone always tries to call it out. It's just a different way of doing it. I wonder if the car would be faster or slower if you removed the turbo entirely and just had a really good set of headers. You would gain a lot of horsepower from freeing up the exhaust while you would lose the 8 lbs of air that the turbo kicks out. would be an interesting test.

Hey everyone

My name is Brandon and I am the owner of the so-called BS car. After shorty told me about this thread I figured I better post something just to help everyone get a better understanding of why I still use a stock turbo. It's CHEAP and I can go fast with it.

I can make 6 passes on a 200hp shot of NOS and only use one bottle and 2 gallons of C16. This will last the whole day at the track. Tuning only consists of timing everything else stays the same. No need for a big intercooler because the nitrous cools better than any intercooler.

As for needing to port the exhaust housing it is not necessary. Why. Because NOS doesn't add LBS of air like a turbo, it adds oxygen to the air that is being introduced to the car. With NOS you are not increasing the amount of air so there is no need to port anything.

The reason I stopped posting is because of threads like this. I don't know how my time slip disappeared and don't really have time to sit in front of the computer and figure out why. I spend most of my time working on customer's cars and that's all I really have time for. I am lucky to make it to the track maybe 3 times a year.

If any of you have a question you can send me a email [email protected] Eventually I will upload video and copy of my new time slip to my business website GET THE HOLE SHOT | HOLE SHOT PERFORMANCE. It has not been worth my time because even with video and time slips people have still called my car unbelievable and doubt what I have accomplished. Someone always says it could be a friend's time slip or that I am not really using a t-25.

I am not trying to set a record for a t-25 or anything like that. So for people that have seen my car and know what it has, I ask that you please do not post anything like new record for t-25. Yes even you shorty. I am just trying to go fast, promote my business and have fun doing it. :thumb:

By the way, Jagwire the stickers get me paid that is why they are on the car.

Kickass :rocks:

Post it up (S/W forum) when you hit up the track next. I'll roll up there.

I apologize for doubting it...But you have to remember your charting new territory and their are always going to be doubters. I know plenty of old V8 guys who refuse to believe what Shep's car has done, much less try to convince them of something like this on the stock turbo. You took the road less traveled and I commend you for doing that. But there are times when proof is needed since there are people who BS all over the place. Thank you for stepping in and clearing things up. I'd love to see some videos and and more pics of the car/cars. By the way the front clip on the first car is AWESOME! I bet that ran you a pretty penny, or the sponsors picked up the tab eh?

Bingo. Great response. I think that was the big thing that may have bothered others. Congrats on your times and more power to you. Quick sh*t :thumb:

Nice to meet you Brandon. I assume you are extremely busy at all times, but perhaps in the future you can come on here and contribute to this community, making it an even better place to be. :)

You can see the t-25 in this pic

Umm he runs 10's with a T25 what's there to research? Trust me Brandon knows all about nitrous and V8s. That's where it all started. Remember this, he is trying to go as fast as possible with the least amount of aftermarket mods/money. Budget racing if you will. And doing a damn good job doing it. Keep up the good work Brandon. Now it's time for some 9's on a t28.:p

Nice!

I didn't see you guys on the entry list for Pinks All Out in Shreveport at the end of this month :(

What's the thought process on sticking with the OEM SMIC?

I don't always use the bottle and sometimes I only use the bottle at half track so, I still need somthing to keep the air cooled.

Normally nitrous takes care of the air charge to be cooled... u should touch our intake manifold after a 10 second pass......:)

Mind if I ask what you did differently to go from the 11 second passes to the 10.6 pass? Just wondering since that's a pretty huge improvement if you're still on the stock cams, stock fuel system, etc. Just makes me wonder what changed.

Aside from that, I'm impressed with the times. I have a car that I bought for $2500, looks kinda crappy, and is fairly stock and people laughed at me until I went to the track and layed down a 7.7 in the 1/8th without much trouble on the E16g. Stock motor and all but trying to get on the T-67 and see if I can hopefully dip somewhere into the 6's on a bunch of stock parts aside from the fuel system and i/c. Everyone seems to always think you have to spend tons of money to go fast and I've had so many people tell me I was stupid when I was selling my Mustang to get the current car when in fact I've ran much faster times with less money.

Anyway, very nice times. Oh, I am a lil curious as to the wastegate dump as well. You showed the O2 dump on the motor, but it's coming out of the bumper. Did you just hack off some of the pipe and then route it to the bumper?

Awaiting more updates and times from your car. Congrats!

The biggest change was going to the act 3200 clutch with a special type disk that I had made which can handle no lift shifting. My biggest issue is as soon as I shift I am at full power and the clutch just won't hold the power. If you watch the video of me running 10.93 in one of the first passed that I did you can hear the clutch slip as soon as I hit third gear.

The second thing was going from a 200 shot to a 240 shot.

As for the O2 dump it runs straight down and the pipe you see is my 3in exhaust.

If you have any other questions let me know.

Thanks
