MSD Inline fuel pump

i've got a MSD inline fuel pump. i was wondering what was involved in installing it. My stock fuel pump is still good, so i could run two fuel pumps, or would it be better to disconnect the stock pump and just use the MSD one? Do i just connect the wires from the stock pump and splice it into the fuel line near the stock pump? thanks! i've got a 95 TSI AWD with the stock T25 turbo.
