I have installed almost every mod on my car by myself with the exception of the dual fuel pumps, and I'm afraid they may be the reason why my car won't start at the moment. I have 1 in-tank walbro 255 (installed myself) and a second inline walbro (installed by polk performance). Typically, I have to crank my car over for a second, stop, wait until I hear the fuel pumps kick on for another few seconds, then crank again and she will fire right up. However, in the last few weeks, getting the car started has become like rolling the dice at a Vegas craps table. Lately, when I try to start the car, I don't hear the pumps kick on after my inital second of cranking. I turn the key, stop for a second, fuel pumps don't kick on, and after that I can turn the key and crank all day long but she won't start. I checked my plugs and wires and I seem to be getting fire but no fuel. When the problem first started, I fired up link V3 and manually turned on the fuel pumps and the car finally started. However, that method only worked once. Now, I can even kick on the pumps manually with link and she still won't start. :banghead: I'm completely confused. Should I check the relay for the inline pump, or is this perhaps a wiring problem or a bad fuse? If so, where would the fuse or relay for the inline pump likely be located? (this is one more reason why I should have just done my homework and figured out how to install the inline pump myself..blah) :toobad:

Check to see if/when each pump is getting voltage, then take it from there.

The fuse/relay for the inline, unfortunately, is wherever the installer felt was a nice spot (unless he spliced into stock wiring...which if not upgraded, is really ghetto)

ya most likely they used the stock wires some where, and the old dsm wiring probably couldnt handle it. there is a stock place on the passenger side under the hood by the fire wall, were you can take a wire from your + on the battery and plug it in this spot on the fire wall, and the walbro in the tank should kick on manually. if it dont kick on with this stock method of testing the fuel pump then your circuit is broken to the pump. the place to put the wire is on the fire wall it is a little black connection, it kind of looks like the little black boot on the tps plug in.

Hmm.. well I relocated my battery to the trunk a long time ago (before I had polk install the inline pump). I'm gonna try and check it out when I get home but I honestly don't even know exactly what I'm looking for. I guess I'll just chase all of the wires coming in and out of the inline pump (mounted underneath the car in roughly the passenger side rear seat area). Anyone have pics of their in-line setup I can use for an example?
