motor knocking

well i put in my new turbo today just to hear the motor knocking, snowborder714 swang by and pulled each spark plug to see which cylinder was knocking and when he pulled cylinder 1 wire, sure enough the knocking stop so no it time to strip down the motor, sell the head, hks cams, 6 bolt block and start fresh with a jdm motor

why don't you just spend your money beefing up the motor instead of buying a jdm motor?

because the motor in my car now is beef'd up it has eagle crank, Big 1g rods, 3 layer hg, arp studs, hks 272's cams and still the motor starts to knock so iam ripping it out and selling everything

i just want a fresh start and going with a JDM low millage 6 bolt motor seems like the way to go at the moment

Why don't you get your block decked, bored, and honed. That would be like starting with a brand new block? And as VFAQ mentions are there really all those low milage cars over in Japan just stilling around waiting to be stripped?

iam not rebuilding anything? but yea i can prob get a jdm 6bolt with that cylone intake mani and just drop her in and get back on the road

My car has the cyclone in it out of a 90 galant, when it was stock I raced my buddies stock dsm with the usdm 4g and I pulled him pretty good
