I'm always on the look out for OEM knock sensors and the last time I was at the junkyard they had a '95 GSX, 2.0 4G63T. I noticed that the knock sensor was still in place and went ahead and pulled it. Turns out it was a Mitsubishi E1T15575. When I crossed the part number it comes up as being for a lancer and for other cars with a 4G64. Weird thing is, there are multiple people who will swear that the 4G64 doesn't come with a knock sensor.
I don't know any of the history on this car, but it appeared that the sensor had been on the car (in the typical 4G63 location) for some time based on the grime.
Anyone ever considered using one of these in place of a regular knock sensor?
