Can anyone tell me what their experience is with the threaded (or non-threaded) hole for the knock sensor in N/T blocks is? Some have the boss, just not tapped. Most say theirs was tapped and ready to go. This is a 1G non turbo block.

I used a N/T block for my stroker build and found that this location has a spot for it but looks like there is a plug in it. There isn't any place on the head of the plug for a screwdriver or wrench. It's just flat. Haven't messed with it yet until i know for sure it's a plug.

Ummmmm use the boss on the 3rd cylinder right below the intake manifold. I ran mine there for 3+ years on my old block.

My brother has a 6-bolt n/t block nearly ready to go in his 1991 gsx. I swapping it w/ 6-bolt turbo pistons and attached rods. . . There is a threaded hole in a boss exactly where the knock sensor goes on my turbo 6-bolt block. I installed a new knock sensor in it this morning. . . His block has the pistons marked 63D.
