I know this is not real big news, but after a frustrating racing season for me, this was a fun way to end the year. I hurt my race motor at the beginning of October ( 2-3-2 mis-shift ) and did not want to end the season like that. I still had my stock, original short block " retired " on a engine stand in the garage. With the help of a couple of buddies, we pulled the race motor, swapped everything onto the stock short block and re-installed it in the car. A BIG thank you to Greg Joubert ( fellow NABR member ) and Doug Elfman who helped me get the car done. I went to the track Friday night and ran:
10.60@132 ( missed 4th )
10.56@135

The block is the original one from my car, has been raced for about 11 seasons ( was pulled two years ago for a race motor). It has 600+ runs on it, multiple low 11 second runs and 15-20 ten second runs. I honestly think the car could low 10's or possibly a high 9 with more boost and a better 60'. Car weight with driver was 2996, weighed Friday.

. Anyway to the op I would leave the boost where it is and hope for the win or just take the loss... There's always next time no use in blowing your motor up over something that little. But that's just my opinion take it how you will.Diesel truck racing FTL!
