The bullseye housing is alot smaller than my T04E housing, I had to beat the heel out of the water pipe to get it to fit...
Well, Bullseye uses the T04B compressor cover on their 50-trim. That does make it much easier to install. But also, their turbine housing spaces the entire turbo assembly about 1/2" from the block/waterpipe. <---- That is comparing the Bullseye housing to SBR's.

k so im 95% sure i will be going with their 50 trim, i will be paying the extra 125 to get it internally gated. and i guess for the option on actuator. keep it as high pressure 12-30+psi. and what about the turbine wheel? should i pay the extra 35 and get that option? now with this turbo will i need the oil and return line kit. or will my stock ones be okay. i wanna keep this as low cost as possible for now so i still have enough money for my cams soon. and with this turbo will i definetely need 650-750's? or will my 550 work till i get cams?

what do you think i will be able to run boost wise for now on pump 94 and the 550s. dont get me wrong, i will be upgrading to prolly 750 or something, but for the time being.

and what about the v trim? they have a lightly used rebuilt one for sale for cheap i may be interested in. or should i just stick with the 50 trim?

no one here is using a v trim?

I used the Vtrim. I had to get rid of it because it would surge on my built 6 bolt at only 18psi while other people running stock motors were pulling almost 400whp which was really odd to me. In the end i went for the t04b 50trim and haven't looked back ever since. According to dave the vtrim is not a very forgiving turbo because of the map. Its up to you which one you want but i would just get the 50trim since its tried and true. As for how much boost you can run on 550's i would stop around 17-18psi if that just watch your duty cycles and make sure you don't hit 100%

yeah i was leaning towards the 50 trim, but just asking cause they had a slightly used v trim for sale.

what about pricing... i know i know, you get what you pay for. but what would a bolt on 50 trim at these other places run me. alot more...

Your right all your paying for is a turbo and a name.

anyways i think im gonna go 50 trim. can i do this without the oil feed and return lines, cause that would save me like 135 or something.

No, you can't install and use a Garrett turbo without oil feed and return line...... :|

You dont nessacerily have to purchase Bullseye's kit. You can make your own or you can purchase any Garrett feed and return kit from anyone else......

Regaurdless, your stock stuff won't work; you need the fluid transfer parts designed for the Garrett CHRA.

k well im gonna be going with the mitsuibishi housing. i am trying to save as much money as possible. what is my best route? how would i make my own? please help.

you would need adapter plates to AN fittings for the best setup IMO, you could buy the plates that bolt to the garret turbos and then buy up AN fittings/lines else where but honestly they arn't making a whole lot off the AN lines so you best bet and out of ease is to buy the kit, from what it looks like, the kit from bullseye is made of aluminum plates, drilled and tapped for AN fittings/NPT threads. Then they just toss in some fittings and a -6 an hose for the drain and probably -8 for the feed.

As far as the poster who says " i didn't know FP and such use Bullseye housings "

They dont, but they DO however ALL use Garret parts such as the compressor wheels for example.

for all of you who would LOVE to go to a 'T4 setup' this is the SAME thing with a different housing, Thats all they changed. you have to use All the same stuff for feeding and returning oil from a Garret turbo on a dsm with the difference of They saved you the trouble of having to buy a new manifold and 02 housing setup and possibly keeping you from modifying your downpipe.

imo... bullseye is the wtg if the customer service is as good as said and the housing doesn't fall apart like certian China crap turbos have.

You're best bet is to bite the bullet and buy the kit. Or, if you can get a good deal on the parts, then just make your own. You can't use a Mitsu housing with a Garrett turbo. That's the whole purpose of bullseye's specially designed turbine housing. The housing makes no dfference to the oil feed and return lines anyway. The CHRA is what matters.....

If you have a garrett turbo, then you have a Garrett CHRA, and that means you need Garrett oil feed and return lines. :|

thanks for the good avdice, so i think that i will just order the complete setup from them and see how everything goes. im at 295 whp now on pump gas, and im hoping with the new turbo, cams and injectors if need be ill be at almost 400.

As long as you have all the supporting mods and with proper tuning i wouldnt' see a problem.

I to am interested in this turbo (TO4B M-Trim). I am on the stock fuel system and am about to drop in a rebuilt motor. I sold my tdo5h 18g turbo in hopes to get a small upgrade and not have to buy the $85 pipe from dejontool to connect to my fmic pipes. I was quoted from dave $649 for the 44lb/min TO4B M-Trim Turbo. This turbo comes with the standard 270 thrust bearing like the v-trim. Im hoping to stay away from slow ass spool though. I was getting 10psi at about 3200 rpm's on my 18g with some little boost leaks. Should I opt for the warranty or the 360 thrust bearing? $69 each.... I doubt I'll need the 2 year warranty, I figure if the turbo dies, its gonna die in the 3 month standard day warranty. Opinions please Thanks Mike

What the hell is a "m" trim? Is this the new biggest thing since the the "super" 50 trim didn't fair well.
Someone please explain...

Every other week bullseye puts out some odd ball compresser wheel combo that doesn't come close to the combos already available to the public. :toobad:

I saw first hand a g-vr4 evo-16g car put down 380 whp on Buschurs low reading dyno at the shootout. I drove my way to 124 mph with Fp's dry bearing 18g. What else is there to compair?

P & M trim turbines have been around for a while. I've used several of them on many different setups with great results. Just because you may not have heard of it, doesn't mean that it isn't around.

I'm curious to see the specs on the M trim turbine wheel you mention. I've seen N,O,P,and Q trim turbine wheels listed in the Turbonetics catalog, but no M.
