A set of evo 560cc injectors and an safc to tune them. $200 will get you right about there.

Run wastegate pressure on it. You need bigger injectors to do anything with that turbo and inorder to run bigger injectors you need some form of tuning source. You could buy a wideband (I'd recommend and innovate MTX-L). Or spend it on general maitenance assuming it isn't done (which it usually isn't).

Actually a fuel pump would be a great idea, but I personally would get an AFPR with it. Which may* run you over your budget pending how well you look for deals.

Okay so i dont need a fuel pump yet? The tech thing says a fuel pump comes first

A 190 does not overun the stock fpr..The 255 would require the afpr.;)

And op..I know what the upgrade paths are..U can cheat those somewhat..But not too much, which is why there listed as upgrade paths..
Dont stray too far away(cheat) from the upgrade paths, because then they wont do you any good at all.

It reccomends a pump being first..I would too..But if you cheat, with the stocker doesnt that flow 150 ish with rewire..The 16 on stock fuel system is the most common question asked.

Which is how we learned how to cheat..The stock pump on rewire and WG pressure or a few extra psi, should support 250 hp..IF DONE CORRECTLY ONLY.

I would stick wit the upgrade paths, if you have not done some research.

Rant sorry.

Invest in dsmlink, and an eprom ecu if your going to keep modding..You can throw a 35r on your car, but withought being able to tune, no beano.

Keep the stock pump, get link, tune, add more mods, retune, theres a pattern in there somewhere.

A pump. I'm not sure how you can say SAFC/injectors when he doesn't even have the pump to fully utilize them. I honestly can't believe people still even recommend an SAFC as it's such a prehistoric form of tuning. Sure it works, but with no timing control I'd never run one. Luckily the 2g timing maps are a little more conservative slightly* over factory load, but for people with 1g's running 20+ degrees of timing on, you're just asking for trouble.

You can get an Evo 8/9 pump for about $30 on the evo forums. They flows a bit more than a Walbro 190 but can still be used with a stock fpr. Also they are a direct OEM fit and quiet; perfect for a 16g.

Go Evo pump or walbro 190. For an average Evo 3 setup you won't need a 255 so save the money on the afpr for injectors. I would also suggest dsmlink over safc. Dsmlink is about 500 but it's totally worth it.

^^^^ What he said ^^^
I would put in the rewired pump right away and run the turbo at wastegate pressure only while you save up for Link. On any given day somebody usually has one for sale with the ECU ready to go. Priced $500-$600 but really is the only way to go IMO.

i have a similar setup, I'd upgrade the fuel system next (fuel pump, injectors). Then I'd try to save up for dsmlink v3, front mount intercooler and if you haven't already done so, an aftermarket exhaust.
