Just got my 16g installed

The last 20 days my car was inactive, because I was getting my 16g installed. It took 20 days because my o2 sensor was stuck into the o2 housing, and I had to get a slim line fan because my radiator was pushed back due to a front end accident, but it is finally done (thanks to the awesome guys at turbogarage.com). At this time, I also got dejontool upper i/c pipes, denso 190 fuel pump, and the exhaust manifold, o2 housing, and the turbo porting

My Impressions.
I have not been able to set up my HKS EVC IV for the new turbo, but right now I am boosting only 10psi with no creep. All I can say is that at 10psi my car is faster than the t25 at 15-16psi. I can't wait to turn up the boost.

I would like to thank the guys at turbo garage for the install, the dejon upper i/c pipes, letting me buy your slim fan and evrything else. An A+

And last, I have one question, how much boost do you think i will be able to run with the denso fuel pump and the stock injectors, I am thinking around 14-15psi until I get injectors and a intercooler. I think that is it.

Really? My S16g didn't really feel that much stronger at 13psi than 16psi on my T25.

Sounds about right. Any more boost than that on the stock injectors will probably cause your timing to get pulled because of high duty cycle.

What I like the most about the 16g is that it keeps pulling after 5k rpms

Did you buy a big 16g or is it small? if so then the 50 or so extra cfms could be that difference hes talking about.

A small 16G is pretty efficient at 15psi ( 505cfm's ). My question is do you have any porting and/or 34mm flapper door mod? I would like to just buy the small 16G with no work on it, but want precise boost control ( as precise as internals can do ).

The T25 flows 250cfm's at 15psi, so 15psi on the small 16G is a huge difference. Power is in tuning though, so a good set of 550s, a datalogger and a S-AFC and you should be good to go.

ya i have a datalogger and an s-afc, just need some 550s.

My 16g is ported, but i do not have have the 34mm wastegate flapper mod. I would suggest getting it ported, from what I heard it helps in the long run.

I have a ported small 16g with regular wastegate flapper. Pretty much the same turbo as yours. It probably is a lot faster, but I don't remember how fast it used to be anymore. I think I got too used to it to notice its even fast or not.

i still cant decide if a 50 Trim is too much boost for me. Since this is my ONLY form of transportation to work and college. A EVO 16G is still in the back of my mind. I dont know if i should risk getting a big turbo

I was in the same boat, but the 16g was definatley cheaper, and since I am a poor college student, and besides I can always go bigger when I finish college or find a better paying job...

Thats my outlook too. high power is only a 50 trim and 660's away

What did you do about creep? I just bought a 2g w/ a b16g that supposely has huge creep. I don't know that for sure though cause I gotta change the hg on it. I'm trying to find ways of fixing it.

I just got my turbo ported and I dont have creep. I don't know if I would have had creep without the porting because it was never in my car unported
