I live in Wichita Kansas. If there are any fellow DSM people around or in Wichita I would love some help.

This car is a 1990 Eclipse GSX with 180,000. It has a 16g turbo, MAF translator. It also has a front mount intercooler & fuel pressure regulator that is always maxed out on the gauge, even when the car is off. I was told it would never move regardless on the adjustment. Supposed to be a aftermarket fuel pump wired but not sure on what the pump or injectors are. The wide band gauge in the car constantly shows a 18 at all times. The fuel gauge dosnt work & I believe the temperature and oil pressure gauge are not correct also. Oil pressure shows high almost all the time and will bleed off to normal then sky rocket again. The temp gauge never went above 1/3 on the gauge granted it was 70°.

I did pick up the car for $2,000. It does run and drive and had a 30 min drive home at highway speeds. But would love some input and help on figuring it out and with the wires idk what are and are cut LOL.

The powesteering pump leaks from the fitting. Is what the silicon is on there for which dosnt help LOL so will be needing a new line or a fitting.

Well, I don't think the cables can be loose really. I guess the bracket on the transaxle that holds the cables in position could be loose or something like that. But with the cables it is more like they are either attached or they aren't.

But they can be adjusted, and maybe yours need to be adjusted.

The 2 cables are called the Select Cable and the Shift Cable.
Here are the factory manual pages for how to do the adjustment for the 91-94 cars. This is the only kind I've ever dealt with because my shifter and cables were changed over to 91-94 parts way back in 2005.
I know the 1990 has a different shifter. But I think this adjustment procedure would be the same.

Basically in this procedure you detach the 2 cables at the shifter end and you leave them attached at the transaxle end. Then you adjust the length of the cable so the shifter end of the cable lines up with the pin that it is supposed to attach to on the shifter mechanism. This shows you step by step how to do it.
While you are doing this you might discover what is wrong with it even if it is not the adjustment that is wrong.
Pages 21-16 and 21-17 from the 1991 FSM. It says "FWD" at the top but they don't show this again for the AWD so it must be the same:

It has been awhile since I have done anything with the eclipse on here LOL. When I took the battery out of the talon to put in the eclipse I found the vacuum line gping from the waste gate to the boost controller was broken off then also the boost controller was hooked up backwards LOL. Not by me but the person I got the csr from. Just never looked which it may not of been an issue idk but the boost level is a constant level now and never changes and can go wot and the car dosnt sneeze or cough!

As I was digging around the car I came across this tucked up under the dash. It is an apex turbo timer.

It dosnt work or I couldn't get it to turn on.
