Clean out your downspouts. They can get clogged with dirt and other crap.

but then when i read that its the sunroof i was
becasue i dont have a sunroof, someone have any other reasons
A sunroof leak would soak the headliner and be obvious. (at least with the sunroof leaks I have seen)4pistons said:Only the third post mentioned a sunroof and only once as a POSSIBLE source of the leak. No one else was talking about a sunroof.

air compressor with blower attachment would do wonders... insert one end and squeeze... then run some water then blow again, go in that cycle for a few rounds and should be good to go.zaven said:Does anyone have more information on trunk hatch leaks?
I've been having the same problem (this seems very common judging by this thread -- design flaws, anyone??!) -- after a couple days of rain I was horrified to find 4 inches of water in my spare tire compartment and all the rugs were soaked.
I think it is probably the hatch drains. Are these the two round holes in the sink around the trunk? They seem totally clogged with grime. How can I unplug them?
Someone mentioned that the water is supposed to run out the back of the sinks, but mine (95 eclipse) have ridges on the back too, so the only way for water to esscape seems to be these small holes, one on either side.
thanks!

I can't figure it out- there doesn't seem to be any leak from the wiper grommet or any of the (visible) spoiler screws- any ideas?igopoopy said:Do you find that you are getting water into your 1G trunk after it rains? Have you already changed the weather stripping in the back? Do you lift up the hatch and water starts to drip out of the plastic tray at the bottom of the hatch? If these things are happening the likely culprit is the grommet that is designed to keep water from getting around the rear wiper arm where it goes through the hatch. Replacing the grommet requires removing the platic cover under the hatch and the rear wiper arm. 10 minute job can save you the hassle of a wet trunk!

It's also lifted about a 1/2 inch off the hatch surface, I'm planning to install some cheap foam weather stripping to make it stop rattling.
