Did the search, already know about how you have to clean the drains...but in my situation my sunroof works perfectly, however it leaks, and i notice that if i sit in the car and push up on it a tiny bit it will pop up and i THINK it isnt fitting right on the front passenger and drivers corner. how could i fix this?

When it's all the way down, is it flush on the top side of the roof? It prevents water from coming in, not going out so pushing up on it shoudldn't be that big of a deal unless it's not sealing properly.

yeah same thing with mine im sure. the headliner sucks...and the bracket is really loose on mine. when i shut the doors it pops up a little with the air pressure. does your car do this also OP?

One of the runners may be loose allowing it to pop up like that.

If you search, there are some threads that go through the sunroof glass removal. That's my guess on what's wrong but try to get a second opionion from someone that dealt with leaking sunroofs.

There are screws that bolt the glass on and they are slightly slotted to make adjustments easier. I just opened my sunroof, loosened all 4 bolts, pushed the glass all the way down, then retightened it. It fixed that annoying whistling sound I got about 65mph.

If it's leaking between the glass an the seal, use some clear window caulking on the inside around the edge.

Yeah he said raise the sunroof all the way..Loosen the 4 bolts, and kinda push the glass in farther, retighten screws and there ya go..

If the seal is broken, use clear window caulk to make a seal..

Now if your drains are plugged which most likely not...The drains are behind the plastic panels with the speakers in it..You pretty much only need a phillips and a flathead(1g)..Those are pretty easy to remove.Just kinda a pain in the ass...I'm not sure if it's the exact same on 2g or not...

There's 3 reasons your sunroof may be leaking:
1. The drain's are clogged. They get rid of the water that drips in. The drains are there as a backup.
2. It's leaking between the roof and the seal.
3. It's leaking between the glass and the seal.

Clogged drains
Search. I haven't had to deal with it, so I don't know.

Leaking between the roof and the seal
Pop your sunroof open to the first stop, so it's up, but not back.
Look from the inside, at the sides. You'll see 2 screws on each side with an torx head (T25 if I remember right).
Loosen both on each side, you window may drop down a little, this is good.
Make sure it's down all the way, your seals are old and sunbaked. What you're doing is making the window close tighter by taking some of the play out of it.
Tighten the 6 screws back up.

Said screws, 3 on each side

Leaking between glass and seal
You have 2 options, you can either do it with the glass part of the sunroom in the car, or with it off.
Either way, your goal is to get a bead of clear silicone caulking that they make for windows all the way around the inside edge, between the glass and the seal. I managed to do it with the glass still attached.

Trying to seal the outside edge looks like crap and doesn't seal to well. Ask me how I know...
Just seal the inside.

EDIT: I left the sunroof open for about 4 hours just because it was a nice day. The caulk has some odor to it.
EDIT 2: There are actually 6 bolts now that I look closer. I couldn't remember how many there were.

There are 6 star screws on the glass. Remove those and it becomes very clear how the sun roof works. Def. not the best design out there to say the least.

Cool thanks Knotchgoon...I'll try and give this a shot tomorrow, i believe its between the sunroof itself and the metal on the hood. Like i said the whole sunroof assembly pops up when i slam my door.

Get a CF overlay and call it a night. I'm deleting my sunroof on my GSX cause all they do is leak or break in the long run.

If your roof is starting to fade like mine, a CF inlay looks like trash. I'm not a fan of CF. If you want to delete it, get a sheet welded in.

There are 3 torx screws on either side of the glass. Loosen all six to adjust the glass up and down.

I adjusted the six t25 screws had the fiance hold the glass down while tightening, did nothing, i found the problem to be the deal around the glass not fully touching the metal of the roof.

Which is the rubber seal. I priced one for around 100 bucks. Which is alot. I would try to do the caulking trick that knochgoon24 talks about earlier.

I'm thinking so too.. Are you more partial to a certain kind of caulk? Or will any caulk do? How much should i fill the crack? It's going to be tough having to leave my sunroof open, we get flooding rain daily here.

What i would do, is take the headliner off and see the 4 rubber lines that run to the sunroof off and check for any shit inside the tubes. Verify thats clean. Then, take the glass off see where the gaps are the most. Measure about how much you would need to fill the void. Then, use a silicon waterbased sealent under the rubber between the glass and rubber seal and allow the seal to stick to. Run a small bead on the inside and a little more where the seal doesn't fit correctly. Put the seal on while its curing and let it dry. Put it back on and hopefully it seals it. Thats what i would do. But, its your car. ;)
