Don't just cover it up have ## winshield removed and let them put a whole new seal adhesive it's called urethane... If u don't take care of it like that.. Then water is just gonna keep coming in and the pintch weld is gonna start to rust since the pinch weld isn't protected by any kind of paint or nothing..

No, his windshield isnt leaking, his car is leaking where the top meets the window frame. Mine leaks in the same place. You can try tightening up your latches....that helped mine out for a few months. But the only way to truly fix the problem is to replace the weatherstripping. I have not done this yet, but I have priced it before and it was rather expensive.

I dont leak at the winshield but I have found that my backseat is wet after a good rain. I dont know where the rain is getting in at though???

Hey all, ive tried to figure this out on my own, but couldn't do it. on the passenger side of my 97 eclipse rs, (mostly during rain storms) ONLY my floor gets wet. because of this i know that its not a problem with my sunroof, and its only on the passenger side. I smelt the fluid and it honestly just smells like stagnant water. Im thinking i have a leak somewhere on that side near the lower part of my door, but I dont know.
Has anyone else had this problem, or have any tips for me?

It could be leaking from your windshield, around the passenger window seal/mirror area and through the door along the bottom if the drains are cloggedinside the door

guys!! Im so sorry to bring this up agien, but i have a very big problem!! its raining/snowing here in NJ now and water is getting in really bad. the driver side is a littel wet but on the other side is like a swap!! I was reading this thead and looked at everything and cant fine anything, the only thing i didnt look at is the sunroof drain because i dont have a sunroof!! ### help i want to be dry this winter

go to a drive through car wash. sit inside and watch the for the door seal on the passenger side to act like a waterfall. Happens to me all the time.

another common 2g water leakage spot is the seam for the quarter panel and bumpers. It will follow the edge of the taillights and come in through the bolt holes on that body line. 1g's get this but not as much as 2g's

Yea I know. Doesn't matter now, I'm done with DSM's. Moved on to EVO's

Hey guys I have a 94 laser with no sunroof. As far as I can tell the trunk doesn't leak but every morning all of my windows are wet on th inside! And of course the defroster won't help that, then I opened my trunk and water pours down from both sides could I just have the typical clogged drainage system?

hey guys whenever it rains, I get a leak that appears to come from my sunroof latch. Has anyone ahd this happen to them? It started after I had to replace my old one because I broke it trying to break into my car. I have tried tightening the bolts down, sealing it on the outside with glue and no luck anyone else have any thoughts?

i was able to catch a video when it was raining heavy , pretty sure its the missing gaskets around my lights ....but on top of that the previous night left the moonroof poped to help dry carpets and rain came out of no where thank you texas weather

so i checked all 4 drains functioning properly but it was still leaking so..... i got the hose up and ran some pressure and i think the seal along the moon roof and roof is bad because along the passenger headliner in-between moon roof and pass window the headliner starting getting real wet any ideas or suggestions i have a full thing of waterproof silicone to mess with


like whats the best way to pull entire headliner down ?

Can anyone explain to me where these "drains" on the sunroof and hatch are??

Its raining right now so i cant go look but i dont remember seeing them before, im thinking they are clogged because everytime it rains hard here my floors are wet, and everytime i raise my hatch water leaks down from the plastic.

A picture would be great.

i have a 1990 eclipse gsx but their is an interior leak on the floor in front of the drivers seat and behind it but bot on the seats if u could help it would b much appritiated

Hey guys, i'm also experiencing a problem here. In my case it only leaks when i open the hatch on my 2G, and it leaks from under the driver side plastic. Especially where the last screw towards the top of the hatch is where it comes from. Are the drain tubes under that plastic? if not then what could my problem be?
it just started a little after hurricane sandy and i'm tired of seeing water pour onto my back speaker/ back seat.

Hi everyone,
The sunroof on my 95 Talon is leaking. Someone on this site mentioned earlier to clear the drains at each corner of the sunroof. Sounds easy enough BUT the sunroof is in the way. Is there a easy way to clear the drains? Can I pour "Drano" in the holes or will that harm something? Thanks for the help guys!

You could try blowing compressed air with atleast a 4 inch tip through each drain hole.
