1g Sunroof "Visor" // removing sunroof glass

Just wondering how rare this piece is or if it is even rare at all. I have never seen another 1g with this piece on. Do people not have it, or have it and just not use it?

I am looking into parting my car out soon maybe and I am looking for a base price on this piece.

They came with the sunroof cars originally. Who know how many stayed with the cars as time passed. I have mine, the sun shade for the sunroof, and the bag for the roof.

Yeah, I have the cloth thing that you can put up inside the car so you can't see the sunroof too.

This came in with a parts car I recently bought. I was looking around on the web to try to find out what this is worth, but I cant find another one. Does anyone know anything about it? Its a wind deflector for a 1g, but its not a universal one. The 1g sunroof is removable and this gets put in its place. Kinda neat.

I have that same thing and its awsome!! Old school sunroof. I dont really know how much there worth but I would just keep it if you have a 1g. Or try to post a best offer ad on ebay because im sure theres some 1g out there with a broken one or none at all.

I have one. It came with one of my old 1g's and I used to love using it. I don't have the car anymore but I did keep it just incase I get another 1g with a sunroof. That thing is awesome!

not only do i have that piece, but i have the piece that covers the glass so the sun doesnt enter with the sunroof installed and i have the bag for that piece as well

I have them for both of my sunroof cars as well as the interior cover panel. The storage bags are the factory part I'm missing. No biggie, as I just had the wife make a custom bag/cover for me to slip them into.

We have that for my fathers car. We're the 2nd owners on it. I was just looking at the bag the other day, then found the sun shade and visor. We bought the car off a friend, they even gave us the Full shop manual (big ass books)
But I've never used any of those parts, .

Has anyone ever popped that piece of glass off with the windows up and cruised at about 30 mph? It does a "blow on the end of a jug" sort of effect and makes the whole inside of the car pulse. The first time it happened I thought I had eaten something I shouldn't have as the stereo sounded like it was turning on and off.

in this picture it looks like the sunroof glass is taken out? is this correct? i was wondering how to remove the glass, the kid that had my car before told me he used to take it out on nice days but I could never figure out how to do this? any info would be great guys

Pull the latching lever down & forward as though you were tilting it to open; then squeeze the two arms behind the lever together and pull them down & out of the catch/mount. At this point you'll be able to tilt the sunroof up & remove it by lifting it to the rear & out of the slots in the front.
