Pretty easy question - I'm trying to remove the sliding grey sunroof panels from my sunroof to sell. I've removed all the screws on the front end of the roof panel (along the sun visors), but I'm not sure how to get the plastic interior bits over the B and C pillars off to get the back side of the ceiling panel off. Are the sunroof panels pretty easy to get out once you get the ceiling off?

Thanks

Your talking about the sliding pieces that just cover the sunroof correct? I didnt think that you had to take apart the ceiling to get them out. I've taken mine out before by just opening the the sunroof just in the back like just pop it open dont slide it back then pull the cover over it and reach in the back of the sunroof there are little spring loaded like clips that keep it in the tracks all you have to do is pull them back and then pull the panel off. The panel should be in two pieces but its fairly easy to remove. I dont think you have to worry about the ceiling at all but i dont know I have a 96 Talon I dont know if they are different in the 98 Eclipse's.

Yeah you definitely didnt need to take the ceiling off. My sliding panels got stuck on something in there one day so I just took them out, and all I did was crack the sunroof and reached in and pushed the little spring clips holding them on the track. Those little things gave me hell though, but I finally got them out. It was kind of a joint venture one hand outside one inside wiggling the thing back and forth. Still havent put them back in yet and yes there is a big difference in noise, I didnt even know my sunroof rattled as much until I took those panels off.

I had to hook my battery up, but, sure enough, you just open the roof partway, and push the springs back with a screwdriver. It takes all of 30 sec. Boy do I feel silly now :D
