im gonna have to get a wiring diagram from the 2g Eurospecs ECU (maybe it has the same wirering as the US spec 1g nt)if not,ill rather rewirer at the ecus connector than swaping over entire wireringf harnesses

ill keep u guys posted of the develope ments

@ MASIVSKY getting a SAFC and MAF tranaslator will help this swap right? :confused:

actually adding those won't help you any right off the bat really. you need to do the swap first before modding the wiring any.
 
maybe i can use the eurospecs ECU..what about those guys who do add tuirbokits..they dont get a different ecu..

im gonna get a Wiring diargram for the Eurospecs ecu connectors..i hpe the connector is simular to the 1g..if not i might need a 2g gst ecu?

this guy i know promised me a diagram by thursday or friday..ill post the connector diagram(i.E, what pins on the ECU do what etc)ill keep u posted

Funny,these two german guys did swaps on their cars..in each case they retained the 2g MAF and the 2g eurospecs ECU... one of them said hell help me out too.. :thumb:

you could keep your ecu and get a maft and tune around it i suppose. hopefully all will go well. i'm just not 100% sure. looks like you might have to be the one who goes out on a limb and tries something this time. good luck and happy boosting when you get it to work correctly.
 
Thanks again..the Talons donor car tranny is shifting like $hit..looks like imn def gonna use the nt tranny in there..im gonna try get a spacestar 5th gear for some more top speed on the autobahn.(or get a used 2g gst tranny if the ratios arent satisfying)

besides that..what if(asked somewhere else..got no reply) what if i use HIGH impendance 550cc injectors..instead of the donor cars injectors with resistor pack..plus a walbro 190 ..now what fpr would i use?(i got two cars..the donor tsi and the eurospec nt 4g63)

yeah..why not drive the tsi? because the body needs too much $$$$ put into it..bout 1500 paint,600 suspension,1000 wheels and tires... etc etc

instead ill definatlry swap into the 2g

the donors cars manifold is cracked ..should i get a 2g mani or another 1g one??

if i get a 2g manifold..could a run a 16g(is possible to eventually find one from switzerland or sweden..evo territory)

the reason i ask sooo manny questions is because of the time i will have to wait when i forget to order a part... its a time thing..and time is $$

So this injector resistor pack? I hooked it up like you all said except i connected ALL of the left over wires on the harness side to the RED wire comming from the IRP. Would that hurt anything? Or should i take off all the other wires?

high impedance injectors are a perfectly reasonable solution, the only problem is that they are a little more expensive and harder to find.

the left over wires from the harness side have absolutely no purpose whatsoever anymore. i suppose you could do whatever you wanted to with them, but i don't see any reason to connect it to that.
 
Im picking up a wrecked 90 gst this thursday in hopes to pull off a full engine swap. Also gonna change out all the wiring harness inside and out. Thank god for this thread, I was really wondering on what to do with the nt tranny and clutch setup. (turbo tranny grinds horrific) Do you think I outta go with a centerforce dual friction or something act? :talon: :thumb:
 
if you're getting the entire car then use the turbo transmission if you have it. otherwise i'd go with something from act, i've had good luck with my extreme pressure plate and street disc from www.clutchcityonline.com . good shipping and the best prices on the net.
 
I havent gotten the car yet, but the owner is bringing it to me on thursday. He says the tranny grinds in alot of gears, however im not ruling out mis-adjustment, but driving 3k miles on a mis-adjusted clutch is hell on syncronizers. (thats how long hes had it) However if I end up using the NT tranny and flywheel, I will get the clutch you specified. Thanks Mike :thumb:
 
I bought the car! 90 GS-T with 123k wrecked on the driver side pretty bad, and transmission is way out of adjustment. The clutch releases right off the floor. Grinds in 1/2/3/R, Hope I can fix that. Compression wasnt great, its 135-135-125-125. Not bad for $450 Ill let yall know how things turn out

I told him he could keep the wing :laugh:

jeebus that things pretty rough. at least it looks good under the hood.

rings are only like $80, a rebuild from shepherd is only like $800.
 
Well, I got bad news, I think I blew it up :( The vaccum line came off the wastegate actuator and without the tach working I redlined 2nd racing a camaro and soon enough shes blowing hella smoke and oil is coming out of somewhere below the engine. Oil was seaping through that huge crack on the exhaust manifold, hella smoke coming from the turbo area and out of the tail pipe. Im gonna have to say turbo is wasted and something interanally melted. Shes sitting in a bank parking lot until I can get it towed home to pull it apart :(
 
did you not have a boost guage??

unfortunately it sounds like temptation proved to strong in a car that was nowhere ready to be racing yet. if you're lucky it might be save-able, if not hope it was fun while it lasted.
 
Car was bone stock. It prolly wasnt ready for racing, but I couldnt help myself I had to get out and go with this car today its so insanely fast over my NT. The engine still seems to idle fine, however smokes like a train. When I get home Im gonna check out the compression again, but I garantee the turbo is shot as I heard some really odd noises from it as the car idled in the parking lot. I learned my lesson, rebuild time is now clearly near as i start the NT to Turbo conversion the right way. Ive got all the parts needed. All its gonna take is money and time to get it the way I want it now. OMG
 
Well do a compression test. Anything below 140 psi will let you know you are screwed. A 14b is cheap to replace so hope that is the issue at hand. If it's the motor, then you have your work cut out for you.
 
Im finally coming to the endo of the wiring harness task on my car. I have read this post more than a few times and I need to find out the wiring for the fuel pressure solenoid. Mainly does it get grounded to metal or to the ecu and at which pinouts? This post and this site in general are the best damn sources ive found for this swap. I appreciate all the help.
