can someone please give me more information about this engine? I imagine the internals are forged and it probably has a nice set of cams. I would like to stick it on a powerglide and go drag racing with it. thanks. maybe someone knows what kind of hp I might be able to expect. thank you

That setup looks real weird, definitely wasn't used in a DSM or if it was, it would have been longitudinally mounted. Even the intake manifold is flipped and the turbo is positioned in front of the camgears.

Not sure about the motor setup but I shot some milk/cereal out of my mouth when I laughed seeing that Garrett turbo's orientation. The axis of rotation should be parallel to the ground +/- a few degrees and eyeballing it I'd say that's about 90* out... LOL

If/when you do fire that thing up I bet it smokes a little.

Ya the turbo seals definitely arnt going to like being shaft up like that. Engine was definitely used in some kind of racing application being that it has a dry sump oiling set up on it. Some higher dollar parts there but I think the only one who would be able to tell you anything useful about that engine is the person that built/ran it. If you dont know them then I would say best bet is to tear it down and find out exactly what you have.

I think its a normal block just using a rwd version intake and super custom exhaust and turbo. Lol

Seeing as its not got a cooler i would guess its a drag engine for short runs,

Might have been setup for a mighty max build.. One of my friends likes those it's a truck that you slap a 4g63 into. I'm not sure how I feel about them.

You can bore scope the spark plug holes and try to identify pistons.. Being that it's a dry sump it was probably setup to make some power.

Definitely either inspect pistons and rods ect and see what's in it, or alternatively boost it until you hit knock or 1000hp whichever comes first. I mean it will give you one really awesome pass at 1000hp at least.

This was not in any car, the direct drive on the flywheel suggests maybe a boat.
No intercooling suggests methanol.

I'm thinking it was a skiboat or jet boat engine.
