Could anyone give me an idea about where this 6 bolt in my 2G FWD came from? Trying to make sure i am buying the correct parts for her. About all i know are that 6 bolts came out of 89-92 dsms and that mine has an N/T throttle body. Turbo is a 14b i assume which is the stock 6 bolt manual tranny turbo. It says TDO5H.

Bunch of pics included.

There is no proven numbers on the hyundai head/IM. The hyundai head has a smaller combustion chamber that will raise compression a little bit and the intake has a larger plenum and shorter runners then the 1g manifold. You could take that into consideration. I dont see this holding you back making power versus the 1g stuff.

Thanks for the info. That helped me out a ton with clarifying whats been done to the motor. As for goals im just going for a fun second car when my suv's gas guzzling has me down. After i finish cleaning everything up and fixing what has been half-assed a plan on doing a full 3inch exhaust and having it tuned.

Be careful rise compression to much ask for trubo

Its not a drastic change in compression. The 1g compression is lower then the 2g so if anything the 6bolt with the smaller cc hyundai head will put the compression closer to the stock 2g compression. The stock 2g ECU is already set for the higher compression that the 2g pistons have so he will be just fine.

I need to check and see what ecu is in this car. Ive been away with work and wont be back home until monday morning.
