Could anyone give me an idea about where this 6 bolt in my 2G FWD came from? Trying to make sure i am buying the correct parts for her. About all i know are that 6 bolts came out of 89-92 dsms and that mine has an N/T throttle body. Turbo is a 14b i assume which is the stock 6 bolt manual tranny turbo. It says TDO5H.

Bunch of pics included.

I know one way to tell if its a 6 bolt is the oil pan. Which has the indention where it should for a 6 bolt. However this oilpan is beat all to hell.

Take a picture of where the oil pan, and oil pump/front cover meet. Also what vin is on the block? I don't think it's a 6-bolt.

I didnt know they had VINs on the block. Where would that be? I threw up a pic of the tranny VIN but can find any info on it.

Am I still the only one with a hardon trying to find out what that IM is?

Why? From the look of it's just a standard 1g IM with a fancy paint job (I do like the color).

OP, I would just get the proper brackets and fix the power transistor where it belongs so you can appreciate the 'Turbo Intercooler' lettering.:thumb:

Yea that throttle body looks sorta like a 90' but the intake mani is something I have never seen, could be just sanded down and polished with laser etching or something. But the CAS is not from a 90' I dont believe. Could this be a 2g head pm a 6bolt block?

I'll have to disagree..The 1g IM is not that cool looking.

I was informed it was a hyundai head. I dont really have anymore knowledge than that. It's a cas from a 94 i believe and i really need to clean up the wiring.

It is a hyundai head and intake manifold.

Top left. Stock 1g in the others.
Port sizes. Hyundai is the small port.

The small hyundai ports are not the same shape as the 2g small port size, its more oval. Obviously smaller then the 1g.

There is no proven numbers on the hyundai head/IM. The hyundai head has a smaller combustion chamber that will raise compression a little bit and the intake has a larger plenum and shorter runners then the 1g manifold. You could take that into consideration. I dont see this holding you back making power versus the 1g stuff.
