1G How to: 1g DSM CTS-V big brake upgrade

06 Caddy CTS-V 4 piston front calipers to 1g DSM conversion outline.

First and foremost you are going to need to test fit the calipers to your wheels. There is no way to know for sure about barrel to caliper clearance other than trying. This will require purchasing at least one caliper bolting it up and measuring the difference. Brembo recommends at least 3mm, mine was about 1.5mm-2mm which I can live with. You will also need a lot of 12mm washers to help simulate spacers etc. NOT ALL 17” wheel will fit, for guaranteed fitment buy an 18” wheel if you don’t want to do this measuring part.

Now in reverse if you have the brakes and would want to change wheels you would want to test fit that wheel over the caliper before buying four wheels and tires just to find out they don’t clear.

• You may also need additional wheel spacers to clear the calipers, that would be approx another 50$ on ebay

The rear brakes is a full on custom thing, there is nothing to discuss really. It basically proprietary, can it be done again? Yes, but I am not going into how and what was needed.

It only fits some 17" wheels so it's not going to fit any 16"

You need to figure out the barrel size of your rims. So the Evo 8 Enki wheel specs/offset are the closest you can use with the CTS-V fronts. That being said, compare your rim and barrel specs/offset with the Evo 8 Enki's and if they are the same or bigger, they will fit
