So how does the VIS CF invader ram air scoop hood thingamajig work since it doesn't have a bump? Or do they not make this specific hood for DSMs?

Yeah, I know. Supposedly you can get it for our rides, but I don't know how they work their way around the belt cover. Hmm, until someone enlightens me, I will just stay confused.

there are invader hoods for our DSM's, along with EVO hoods for our cars too. They are obviously designed to fit our cars so the engine shouldn't need any modifications.

Take a look, they aren't cheap though

are they for 1.8s then? because if something doesnt fit a 1g turbo, its not going to fit a 1g 2.0 nt either.....

btw, the bump on the hood is something that I personally think should stay, just because its special to the dsm, but thats just imo

I think it's a good idea but a little TOO much.. if I were looking for something like that, I'd want the intake/scoop a little lower, closer to the hood so the opening wouldn't be so big. Not my cup of tea but nonetheless good work

Isn't the intake in that general area. And getting cold air into a engine bay is a good thing.

Alright thanks guy this is what I was looking for. I think it needs to be cut back as well and the height is because of how far it extends out. Here's the thing when you start big you can go smaller. when you start small it's hard to go bigger. Thanks again for the replies. Oh yes and we are in the process of creating a heat shield for the intake that will route air from the scoop, below the car, and the intake box.

I think people would go for something that flowed a little better with the already existing hump. It just seems that yours is cutt in half and raised a little. I know your not done and Im sure you can round it out some or make it flow a little better like these.........

I like the style of the silver one. The black hood is a little too wide and obscene. The silver one looks like it could have come from the factory.
