, can't fit the baby on the way anywhere in this car
RedTurboEclipse said:damn man sorry about your misfortune.. looks like the hoods flying off is more common with VIS hoods.. consider it a coincidence maybe? but just from the stories ive read and heard it always seem to be VIS hoods. Regardless, another post to tell people why hoodpins should be used.

You're mistaken on that, just put your stock seats back in.TeamFusion said:can't fit the baby on the way anywhere in this car
. Maybe they'll learn one day.IMMORTALSPYDER said:You're mistaken on that, just put your stock seats back in.
Can't, fully fiberglassed interior and 3 amps, 4 subs, battery in the back and two 10lb nos bottles
endlessMyk said:The sad thing is people with stock hoods will buy pins for the look. Saw a Neon with a huge nonfunctional scoop and hood pins on the stock hood.... but the people who invest in the carbon fiber hoods won't dish out extra for the pins...
TeamFusion said:Sad thing is that I have sparco hood pins sitting here waiting to install them but thought it wouldn't be a big deal to wait till the weekend to install them. Oops
mitsugsx95 said:Thats why hood pins should be sold WITH the hood, regardless.
Sorry to hear.
. Awhile back someone actually said they would rather risk having the hood fly up and hit the windshield then drive around with hood pins on their car. So selling pins with the hood won't do much.RedTurboEclipse said:looks like the hoods flying off is more common with VIS hoods.. .
TeamFusion said:selling the car though
TeamFusion said:Took only one day out of the shop for this to happen. Can finally take pictures and tell everyone how important it is for you to have hood pins on your cf hood. My last hood I put them on and I finally decided to get a VIS evo hood. Put it on and I was on my way to A-Class body to get an estimate on the car. Drove a half hour away and my hood flew up. Was latch all the way down and it still decided to come up doing 50mph getting on the turnpike. Glass flew in my face and made small cuts on face. Luckly I had glasses on so I wasn't blinded, just couldn't see and it was about to rain. Made it all the way home (I know the risk). Just wanted to share my experience.

By the way not to get off topic but DAMN your car looks good wanna sell itnaw if you don't mind me askin how much do you have into body and paint. Looks good other than the windshield
Edit: I just looked at your gallery and I think I have asked you that question before. Sorry about the window dude.
Or, since they make and sell more than anyone else, you might think they'd have figured out how to effectively construct the latch area with enough strength to withstand a drive down the road instead of just giving up and resorting to technology from the wooden wagon days.tunerkid said:also consider VIS is prob the highest selling cf hood out there right now, especailly DSM wise. VIS is the most popular way to go so obviously they have more of a chance of breaking.
