After owning TONS of FWD DSM's, and finally buying a GSX, I will NEVER go back.

what were your pro's and cons?
. Maybe it's different with a dsm. Like I did say though, if I had the option to buy a gsx I would have for other reasons.
. I imagine its much heavier then a dsm though....I'd still buy an s4.
. I said I would RATHER have a gsx, I kinda want one, more then a gst. I wasn't saying there's a huuuuge power loss, just trying to mention if your cars not pretty decently modified there is SOME power loss...even if its not noticeable. When will you ever hit top speed in 5th gear at a drag strip???? and I meant more stock as in not heavily modified, and mildly modified like something street legal. Power loss is a VERY huge thing. I had an awd audi that had about 230whp and it was a lot slower then my mostly stock eclipse is even from a roll.
This is my personal experience with my car that has been both platforms. With a 500 BHP car running a true street tire, it's worth it to have a few % less power to the ground to have traction instead. A GST will rip the tires loose through third gear, while the GSX (putting slightly less power to the ground) will have traction is all gears. The added traction overcomes the drivetrain loss any day of the week.If your drag racing you want the gst...awd is ok for the launch (something will break eventually) BUT main reason is because your sharing 210 with 4 wheels instead of just two. It's very controversial but It's true...some people don't realize the power loss over 4 wheels.
.Yes, any platform can be set-up to perform on a drag strip.A GST with the proper suspension and tires can launch just as well as the GSX, no matter what anyone here says. FWD Hondas can go down the track at 8 seconds, so can a GST.
GSX is how you get there with less effort and know-how.
Yeah, but put a street tire on it and put it on a public road, and it'll just spin the tires.Tell Joe Bucci FWD can't launch.

like I said no one is better then the next...it's a preference thing, can't anyone agree with me?
