GST or GSX

Hello guys, I am currently owning a 97 gst i was wondering if i should start modding my gst or should i sell it and buy a gsx and then start modding it what do you prefer?
If you have time what are the best mod to buy. (intercooler, exhaust, turbo, etc.)

Depends on how much power you want to be making cus eventually the gs-t will start spinning tires if you giving it too much power...

this topic has been beat to death over and over again. Its a personal preference. I absolutely love my TSI AWD because i daily drive my car and it has been snowing here in kansas and im having NO problems getting around and can do some serious doughnuts! Also if you're planning on heavily modding the car, the difference can be noticeable. AWD traction at the track is great for getting out of the hole quick, but more parts are moving that can break then on a FWD GST. For 300 whp you can still enjoy a GST with some sticky tires or an LSD.

ALSO for modding follow the mod steps on the site they will lead you in the right direction. Dont want to buy a huge turbo without good supporting mods

To add, the 'best mod' is you. Do a better job researching and experimenting, and your car does a better job performing.

definitely is personal preference, i have a 95 gst and sometimes i wish i would have gotten a talon just because they are alot more rare and i still love the shape of them along with the toenail type spoiler. eventually i see myself getting a TSI awd but for now the gst is plenty of fun, i figured before i dump myself into modding the awd i might as well get the power plant down on a fwd because it is a bit easier to deal with then once i know enough i'll get the awd =) good luck on your decision.

Just remember horsepower is the easy thing, traction is the hardest. I'd definitely go AWD thats what I did at least

Nothing is better! Find that rare Tsi and go smash on some mustangs and meros. As for upgrades, again its personal prefrence but i would like to think i felt and seen the most gains from exhaust. And I dont mean cat back. The turbo back will give ya the crazy gains. Good luck bro!

Personal preference is always going to win out. If you want AWD, go with a GSX. If you're happy with your car and want to make it perform better, stick with what you have.

As far as mods go, there are about 5 different upgrade paths I can think of off the top of my head, all scattered around the Intrawebs. One of them is even on this site!
