Twin Turbo GST or GSX?????

There wasn't ever a twin turbo GST or GSX was there?
I highly doubt it. But a guy at Grease Monkey swears he had a GS-?somethin that had twin Turbo's. He said only the GSX or GST (cant remeber which one he said) came that way from the factory. I told him I didn't think he was right, but he swears it ....I just shut my mouth at that point... didn't want him to keep going on about it.

the only reason I go to Grease Monkey is because they are the only oil shop in my area that carries Mobil-1.

Maybe he meant the 3000GT VR-4, the close cousin to us, but the Galant VR-4 is a lot closer to us than that.... Yeah, I hate it when people act like they know everything and they don't...

NO, my buddy s from Bend OR and from Seattle WA too, and he said there is a big racing scene there, especially with Subaru's, so no, there is a better shop, I guarantee it.... and no, find another shop there, if he said that, he probably isnt the one you want to go to for automotive advice....

hahaha its fun the other day, this guy we just meet at one of our usual spot. He was like "is that an eclipse, what year is that?"

i was like "yea, its a 97"
He said "Thats old"
Me " Yea but it will eat you raw"
He said: " what model is it?"
Me " GSX"
He said "GSX??... you mean GST?"
Me " No, GSX"
He said " Oh wow never heard of it....Ohhhhh (a lil excitment) is that the twin turbo one?"
ME " yes is it....twin turbo V6 awd with 270 hp"
He said "oh damn...nah im not racing you...holla"

He just walked off, me and my friends were laughing hard. I never realize how rare GSX are til i own one. People around here know nothing about GSX except for a few and a small amount around here whos lucky to own one. I actually won a bet once with this guy who bet that there's no Eclipse GSX...and right after i bought the GSX, i drove it to work and took my money...hehehe

Galant VR4s are not twin turbo in America...its the same 4g63 as all the other E,T,C's.

However in China it came with a twin turbo V6

It was either a 6A13 TT (V6) from Legnum(Legnum is the Chinese version of Galant)

or a 6A12 (V6) Twin Turbo (4WD Auto)

I had a guy at tires plus, who said he's certified in blah blah blah and he's been building these cars for 15 years, tell me the best eclipses were the twin turbo ones. He swore his friend owned one and it was a 'special' edition package that came in the late nineties. He had all the details, *knew* exactly what he was talking about and was not to be convinced otherwise.

Needless to say I disregarded every bit of the abundant advice he gave me on my car.


BTW, I was not at the shop for my car. I was doing a little price checking for someone else.
