ok peeps i need all your help, im in a pickel right now between a 98 Eclipse GSX and a 98 Eclipse GST :(, the GSX is in the Uk but is a beautiful black car as you can see in my pics and is $3500 but its being a pain in the ass to get the money sent there, then there is the 98 GST another BEAUTIFUL car with a metallic green color and lightly modded, the GST is in West Viginia and is $2850 shipped to my door. They're both turbo and both look completely awsome. The GSX is All Wheel Drive and has 210hp stock the GST is Front Wheel Drive and has 210hp stock, i really want the GSX but the way everything is going i wouldnt get it until sometime in July, if i get the GST which i really like too i could have it by weeks end next week. What would you do, wait for the car that you like a little bit more and is stock or buy the car that you still like but not as much but is lightly modded?

ive herd the GSX would kick ass off the start but lacks in top-end and the GST is good all around :thumb:

so tell me what you would do please(comments, mesages, ect.):D

Most will say get the gsx. I have had both and they both have there good and bad. Right now I have gs-t and on the street with 350-400hp my car does bad on the street pretty worthless. Went to the track last night and managed a 12.1 with slicks. I personally liked both so far I have not had as many problems with the gs-t as far as drivetrain parts go.

Are you absolutely sure you're not getting scammed? I wouldn't buy a car that is over seas, but gsx is definitely the way to go, imo. Find a gsx near you and check it out in person.

yes im sure im not being spammed, the GSX is in the UK and the GST is in West Virginia(thast y im heading twards the GST) i talked to both of the guys in person about the cars, also the way they are set up is that i have 5 days to inspect and drive the car, and if im satisfied the money is then sent from the agent to the seller of the car, so its a win win situation :thumb:

Their "agent" probably consists of their bank account, where you can send money and never see it again even if you are not satisfied with the car. You ever heard the saying "if it sounds to good to be true then it probably is"?

I'm not trying to rain on your day or anything, but be careful buying over the internet. Ask the guy in virginia if you can pick up the car in person, and if he says no because the "ebay team" has the car, then tell him to go #### himself! If he says yes, then go take it for a test drive. What's a couple of states anyway, when it is your hard earned on the line?

Peace

Both sound fishy. Really cheap for either of them. How much is shipping from UK to USA? If it's not included in the price, it'll cost you an arm maybe. If it is included in the price, it's more than likely a scam. It's a lose/lose.

It's a scam and a half. Trust me, my main job title is to deal with people like you who fall for this stuff. At the end of the day, I get yelled at so many times, I have to deal with so many crying people, but you've already transferred the money and there's no way I can reverse it.

That's one of the scams.

By the way, EBAY DOES NOT HAVE A GOD DAMN STORAGE LOCATION PEOPLE. EBAY DOES NOT HOLD OR SHIP CARS THEMSELVES, EBAY DOES NOT DEAL WITH MONEY IN ANY WAY OTHER THAN WHEN YOU PAY THEM FOR THE AUCTION. For the love of God YOU SHOULD KNOW BETTER WHEN YOU NEVER EVEN BOUGHT THE GOD DAMN THING ON EBAY TO BEGIN WITH.

My advice, walk away before you lose any money here, because you're not going to get a car in return.

That GSX is a scam. I found that car on craigs list and wanted it. I emailed the guy and he sent me all that bull on how it is in the UK. I emailed him back and said he was a scammer. He never emailed me back, and this was months ago. They have had that and a 3000GT VR4 on there for sometime, but they claim they are in the UK. Deal is to good to be true. I still have the email if you dont believe me. Just tryin to look out for ya.

id love to find a nice car near me but there jus isnt any and if there is its outta my price range, and theres no way im goin to travel across the country jus to buy a car, the only way it would get here is to be shipped. so i dunno i personally talked the seller and the agent, and the reason you dont see agents of ebay is bc they have to be contacted by ebay for a special transaction liek these, plus the GST is in the US about 5 hrs from me so i could go pic it up its jus the guy is bein an ass and wont email me back, but yea ill stop bitchn now :dsm:

You see that pic of the car in your avatar, it has been sold a long ass time ago by Exotic-cars on Ebay. These Nigerian scams includes stealing other peoples pics and trying to sell the "so called car" at a low ass price. There's usually never a phone number in the ad, only an email address. Apparently the ridiculously low price didn't scream "SCAM" when you clicked on that ad. Just put it like this: If you cant test drive it, don't buy it.

yea i know i backed out of both of them, i found a GSX locally but needs the turbo rebuilt, new rear wheel bearing , and some paint touch up, im also contactin some people on here from a while back to see if they still have their cars for sale

Its a scam man. Don't lose your money.

Even if its not, could be a stolen car. Don't do it.

Thank goodness. Glad you found a car locally, I really didn't wanna see the, "HELP I GOT SCAMMED" thread.

yea its a nice car it jus sucks its not gonna be as nice as your guys, the paints gonna need work but i dont have the money for it, gonna try some Dupli-color touch up stuff, and the turbo will need rebuilt which sucks but its only $3800 so i cant complain

Even if the UK one wasnt a scam, you would have to pay import taxes wouldnt you? I was going to buy my friends Dodge Spirit for the winter, but he lives in Canada, and you cant just bring it across the border.

Okay, I think we're done here. If you can't test drive a car, DO NOT BUY IT. Period.

Anything else is by default, a scam.
