calm down everyone damn. CRX's have good potential...i dont like the looks or nothing but they have good potential to be a fast car with the right motor.

Mine isnt insanely fast either, but im pretty sure i could take you...if u had like an 11 second car or something, then you could talk all the shit u want. But for your low 14, high 13 second car, your bashing way too much on other peoples cars.

i just wanted to say that crx's are great cars for droppin in a hybrid coz obviously they are so light but im sure a MODDED Eclipse/Talon turbo would take the MODDED crx out no problem...but like they say 70% driver 30% car...so if u have a beast car and duno when to shift and how to drive it...then jus coz u have 300hp doesnt mean ull win...im sure everyone will agree on that...
a car with substantially less hp with a good driver would be able to kick ass with a car with a shit driver and 300hp
i raced a vtec accord ex_r ex(in the states) 1997 2 dr with my civic 4 door lx and all i had was cold air and it was dropped and i whopped his azz...guy couldnt believe it and neither did i..i thought id get ripped after 1st when he would hit vtec at 4500rpm but shows that theres lots of pplz with fast cars or claiming to be fast cars but duno how to drive it to its potential...

Take me ? I dont think so .....your still on the stock turbo....wanna race ? 13.9 is a good time considering I have a FWD and have no traction to third gear.

And when am I talking shit ? never once did I say I could pull a swapped turbo CRX. I said I have destroyed a SOHC one. Read before you try to go at me. I have raced a b16 CRX and have seen a couple of my friends race one and its preety much over for the CRX after 2nd gear.

145 HP VTEC Accords aren't fast, now if they have a H22 swapped in , they move, and theres no way in hell (even if you are mario andretti) that your going to beat one in a Civic LX.

but yeah a 145hp accord should be able to beat 102 hp lx
i dont consider myself a great driver since i have much to learn with the talon and how to properly drive a Talon since i have FWD ...whats up with this i keep hearing no traction with a modded talon till 3rd? cant be true...

I have an eclipse , not a talon . I run 13.9 , i spin alot more now than when I was stock. If I launch around 3000RPM I am spinning until 3rd gear if I floor it. Actually if the Accord is an automatic 145hp VTEC you could probaly beat it with a 102hp civic if its a 5-speed.

My 118hp 5-speed Probe SE took out alot of cars with alot more horsepower than me.


If it was a H22 accord you would of known, cause all you would have seen were his taillights.

did u just say i cant take you??? im running my stock turbo, and my stock exhaust and will still beat you from a stop. i got intake, k&n, hacked mas, upper and lower intercooler piping, mbc, evo3 exhaust manifold, walbro255 pump, AND AWD. im pretty sure thats good for lower then a 13.9...maybe not much...but definately better.

From a stop(My traction problems will end once my LSD an Drag Radials are on) because im lighting my tires up (you would have me in the first 2 gears), once I hit 3rd you can tell me how preety my red GST looks from behind. Your T25 isn't shit on top end and your AWD ain't helping you there much. From what I know , no T25 has run faster than 13.9, I got a 16G, you should know you would get smoked.



Stop talking shit when you know you live in Arizona, and I am in New Jersey. A race is just not possible. So just keep thinking you can beat me, maybe you will get educated one day at just how strong a GST with a 16G runs.



By the way you don't even have a TSI, you have a N/T, check your gallery lately ?

i think you could take a gsr crx if you had an intake, exhaust , mbc, and the freebies.........cuz i beat a turbo LS B18 hatchback by 4 cars and pulling all 3 races.... and i had a slipping clutch. oh yea i only had intake testpipe 3in catback mbc at the time.......dude you can take him definetly from a roll.........race him from 2nd gear at about 30-35....you should be able to beat him..........goodluck

In a different forum under the racing thread there was a honda vs dsm thread.

Eventually it all had to come down to a race becuase you can talk all you want and quote all the magazines you want, it really doesn't do much if you're just "post racing".

Perhaps this will help shed some light on the gsr crx vs gst debate. I use to be the owner of a 1991 crx si. Stock sohc motor. All that was done to it was high flow cat, 2 1/2 piping to muffler, non CAI intake, skunk2 cam gear retarded to -3, 10mm plug wires, and denso iridium plugs. It didn't even have headers. Full interior. No A/C belt. A/C unit was still attached though. So pretty much you can say the car is just bolt ons.

I believe the CRX Si is stock 107 bhp so with all those bolt on's on a good day it'll probably be making 115, I doubt 120, that's stretching it too far. So 115 bhp vs 190 bhp of the 1st gen stock eclipse awd. Guess which car won? That's right, the CRX Si with just bolt ons. The second race, the crx si gave the 1st gen eclipse awd a head start, the crx lined up behind the eclipes's back bumper and then they raced and guess which car came the victor? The CRX.

So from this race we can conclude that if a bolted up crx could walk a 1st gen eclipse with even the eclipse getting a head start then of course a gsr crx will rape an eclipse. 1st or 2nd gen.

Well for those of you who liked to argue that a crx probably wouldn't beat a 2nd gen eclipse, it can. The crx with the same mods vs a gst with a muffler and filter, the crx was still the victor on that one although it was a very close race. I don't know how it won but it just won. So if you slapped a gsr motor into a crx, of course it'll rape a gst all day and all night. Unless a gst is heavily modded it's not going to be able to keep up with a gsr crx that's bolted up.

A race like this, gsr crx vs gst, isn't really a race, it's more of a seeing if a gst can keep up with a gsr crx.

I don't like bench racing but from the provided info i believe the crx might win, due to the fact it being a lot lighter and has lots of rev room.
With my previous 96 gst i raced a mid-late 90's integra with a b20 swap or so he said and he was "stock" with just intake and exhaust. I only had an intake and a mbc set at 15. I took him by 1 car and he stayed like that throughout the whole run. i believe he had more done to it as it was running pretty hard.
Anywho it all depends on how well the driver can drive too.
