ive never bought a used turbo before so i am wondering what you guys think..

a friend of mine said he would sell me his 14b turbo for $150..it has no shaft play, good oil seals, has a tiny crack on the housing.. i dont know if i should get it or not?

That's towards the upper end of 14b pricing, but if it truly is in good shape, then go for it.

Where is the crack, and how big is it?

You can certainly get one for cheaper, however, if the crack is minor and the Turbo performs well, then why not?

i tried uploading some photos of it but it wouldnt work...but the crack is maybe litter bigger then a inch..

the turbo runs good.. he had it on his gsx for about a month and then he got bigger turbo so its just been sitting there

all 14b housings have cracks in them it seems LOL, mine does to so i just got the 7cm 16g hot side to put on it, but ya the price is a little high, id say see if you can back him down to 125 but if you really want it and he wont go lower, id cough up the 25 extra, it will be a much better turbo then your t25, im in the same boat and i cant wait to install my 14b

would a 14b hotside fit on an evo III turbo?:hmm::pray:

^ to aswer your question it the 14b housing wont fit on an evo 3 turbo because the 14b hot side is a 6CM housing and the evo 3 is a 7CM....

150 seems a bit high for a 14b. I thought going rate for those was about 100.

100-125 max on that 14b heck if hes a good friend 80 is a good price

Yeah, I'd offer $125. And if he doesnt take it, then show him a bunch of 14b classified ads asking around $100 so he knows you arent just trying to rip him off.
