Goals for next track season?

For those in places where the track season has ended. For me, I'll be out of the country for most of next year. However I do have goals, though not many.

1. I want to fully understand tuning, so for once I can run right.
2. Have confidence to run on slicks/radials without probs
3. Practice to get my 60' back down to 2.0 or better(yeah right :laugh: )
4. hit 12.5 or better consistently. Not just twice like I did in '04.

I guess that's it for now.
 
11's next year for sure. im sure if on pump gas and 22 psi i was running consistent 12.6's and a 12.5 with kind of not so good driving, on 110 octane and 24-25 psi and good driving i should be mid to high 11's. hopefully. although im not doing much performance wise over this winter. water/meth injection kit and wideband. most of my money will be on piecing together a 6 bolt. i gotta get a shortblock now, and i dont know if i want to go with a ross 8.5:1 and 1g big rods, ross/eagle, or just stock depending on how much cashflow i got :dsm:

hey i looked at your mod list and you have everything to hit 11's easy, id get some bigger injectors, make your tunning alot easier. with 110 at 26psi you will have no problem you will see alsome timming at a good psi. with the meth you could run 28psi with good timming. of course on the 110 you will make more power. nice car by the way jim
 
Next season I'm shooting for sub 11.5 et's with my 18g at 120+ mph with no nos. Breaking the 18g record and then go after the 16g record. My brother and I think we have a good shot of doing it. :) We'll see....

thanks man. yea, i had 550's for a bit last year like 3 months maybe, then upgraded to 650's. that was on big16g. plus my keyd. chip is made for 650 injectors. i think 650's are enough for he turbo im running, that and i dont feel like buying bigger injectors again, LOL :cool:

ya i was using 780 on a pte gt3255 aka gt 50 trim and i was getting 95% duty cycle at 27psi. just giving you a heads up on what i had to do. now im using 1000cc injectors with me gt35r :thumb:

yea i understand its just i dont really plan on pushing more than 24-25 psi on the 7 bolt, especially cause i still have stock head gasket and head studs. i think 650;s will have to come out sooner or later, but for a lil while im gonna keep em :thumb:
 
110 MPH traps on the small 16g and then start thinking about upgrading turbos.
 
mid 12's on the 14b, race gas or pump gas doesnt matter to me. some decent traps, something around 105-107 would be fine with me.
and some consistant 1.7 60's.
 
11's and 120+ mph traps with my BFG DR's and new SBR GT12 turbo. Gotta get those 60 foots under 2.0! On C16 and water injection too.

with bad tranny i'm trapping 110/111 right now. runnign 13.1 on 1.68 60' so i know its my tranny. i'm good for 11s now.
 
I am probable going to add a front mount, and a 3" mandrel bent exhaust. Hopefully I will run 11's consistantly. Maybe I will just buy a cutout.
 
I am just a little more conservative than you guys. I just want to get deep into the 13s preferably like a 13.2 or something. Just so I am able to tango with some stock LS1's.
