The 2008 "drag season" is coming up soon and I was just curious to see what the community as a whole has in mind for their personal goals this year. Myself, I would like to see my car actually move under its own power, for the first time since I've owned it ROFL.

And run, a 13 maybe... LOL

What do you guys expect for yourselves?

Ive never been to the track, but I hope to go this spring and hit 12's.

I hope there's more done to your car then in your profile, if not you'll be dissapointed ;)

I just want to get out of the stupied 13's, this fwd thing is driving me crazy  . Though I guess street rubber in a 225/18/40 defently isn't helping the traction thing :sosad: . I'll have some more descent rubber this year with some sidewall (Hoosier drag radials) so hoping for mid 12's. The car should run low low 12's (or high 11's if I push it abit mroe) if I could get any traction.

There's a number of local awd's looking for 10's this year so it should be interesting to see gets there first.

I think everyone can guess my goals for this year....

Sub-15 seconds!!! WHOOO!!!!!!!!!

This is how much I rule. LOL

This will be my first year with some actual time to do upgrades that have been piling up for install... My fastest 1/4 so far has been in my v6 firebird when I was 16... it was like a 15.4 :) I'm hoping to be in the 13's by the end of the year

What do you mean? Don't these cars run high 10's stock? I thought awd made it go faster? ;)

Looking for 12.50s or under on the same setup. Pump and the 16g, stock head.

Planning on adding a new transmission this year. I have no idea what a normal shift into second feels like. Should help the ET quite a bit. I also want to hit 1.6 60foots consistantly.

My other goal is to eat a pound of ice cream every raceday.

OH GOD... I know how you feel. I didn't have third the first full year i had my car.

Im gonna shoot for an 11.8-12.2 on slicks. I know the car has it I Just need the traction, hopefully the slicks will play a huge roll...

PS, I will be rolling down with 2 axles, trans, clutch and alot of tools!

Last year i hit a 12.99 @15psi.
This year im hoping to max out the small 16g (~20psi) and break 12.5. Then upgrade possibly to a s256 and run 11's on pump. Maybe re-install my methanol injection to get there, or just invest in race gas!

Run consistent 1.2x 60' times
Make 800+whp through the auto
Run 170mph
Run Low 8's or better

All on gas.

Kevin

The first and only time I went to the track last year, my best run was a 12.26 on a pretty beat tune at 22psi. I think I've got a pretty decent tune now after doing a bunch of tweaking here and there so I'll be really pumped if I make a pass of 11.99 or better.

I am trying to get kicked out of an NHRA track for not having a roll bar with the same setup I currently have with a few little tweaks.

Tweaks include:
No seized brake calipers
Tuning with DSMLink
Boost

If i can get my car tunned right with some more fuel im going to shoot for 12.99 But will be happy with low 13. Whats funny is i wont be able to race the car sense im only 15:cry:, So i guess il have dad or one of the brother's drive it:thumb:

Drive to the track, put on the slicks, and run a 10.50.

Honestly, I'd be happy with a 13 with the new motor, new turbo, new exhaust, new clutch, etc... The setup is probably capable of a low 12/high 11, but I've only been on the strip 3 times. And the car as a whole needs some work before I get back on the track.

11.5 or quicker. Im stepping up from my stock tranny, motor and a 16g to a built tranny, 3800rpm stall TC, SMIM, and a new ported 1g head with new everything including 264/272 cams and a hx-35 turbo. I figure if I make past the 11.75 mark, then it was all worth it.

I'll be satisfied if I can get the drop top to the track once this year. And I cant wait to see auto R S T eat a pound of ice cream every time we go!!! Maybe his skinny a$$ will finally gain some wait.:tease:

I am looking for 1.4 second 60's, low 9's with current tune on GT4088R, and mid 150's traps. The car is currently around 3100#.

Things to still do: larger injectors, install parachute & window net and finish the 10-point to be compliant with all specs.

Well it's nice to see that I still remain back here on Earth and realize that I just want to drive the damn thing for awhile before I break it again :sosad: :nono::toobad:

But when I do get to the track I'm hoping for mid to low 12's. 11's and I'll cry like Brittney Spears biggest fan. :rocks:
