Not to die in Iraq so that I can rebuild my engine and race in 09.....

Be safe brother:cool:

My goal for my Nopi power street class automatic AWD 2g is to run 10.00s without nitrous for Nopi, and 9.80s with a 55 shot for the street. :thumb:

Good luck to everyone in 2008. I hope you all break your record and not parts! LOL

My goal is to run a low 11 or high 10 on the EVO 16g. Current times were 2 years ago before I had the baby, it was on a big16g. Currently having cage installed and finally have DSMlink.....this is going to be an intersting year!

12.5 1/4mile... ran 14.4 at 98mph 14psi no tune last year, new mods include, 850cc injectors, built transmission with ipt parts, meth injection, fp race manifold, dsm link, wide band o2, rebuilt engine with 6bolt head and 7bolt bottom end, 22psi fully tunned and hopefully a LSD

2008 Goals:

Run 7.70's with the 4g63 rear wheel drive.
Run 9.60's with Sandra's Laser
Win Pinks All Out at Englishtown
Stop the stupid parts breakage that we had in 2007.

if sandra's laser is the one you bought in new jersey from alex at dog box racing just so you know that car has gone very low 9's the way it sat when he sold it to you... ROFL

We understand exactly how it was presented to us.....but I don't want to sit here and say, "we're going to run 8's this year" when we haven't even run 9's yet, know what I'm saying? It went 10.13 the first time I ever drove it (no nitrous, terrible track). I'm confident the car will go 40's, but we haven't run 9's with it yet (the tracks are closed). In other words, I don't doubt the way the car was built, it's actually AWESOME! I just want to crawl before we try to walk and walk before we try to run. I don't want us to get too far ahead of ourselves. We spent 2007 chasing stupid mistakes we made and we don't want to do that in 2008 with such a well built car.

I can see how you wouldROFL about that, one thing I won't do though is take a low 9 second car and turn it into an 11 second car. We're tightening up the ship for '08!

I'm shooting for the lower 10's ultimately want to end up in the mid-high 9's area while maintaining the street legal concept and i want to compete in the street tuner class in boti and sport rwd with the sport compact nationals.

Its interesting to see how people have progressed over the years and how they keep striving to go faster.

I remember looking at this site before I even had a car.

shooting for 11.39 or faster have a few more things to put on the car hoping the tranny and transfer case hold together guess well see

oh yeah and get my dsmlink ordered and installed

if i run 11.39 or faster actually 11.99 or faster it will put me in the top 3 fastest sport compacts at my local track

10.18 isnt bad for that car all turbo..were u no lift shifting it or granny shifting? A turbo that size must fall on it's face if you granny shift it

Glad to know Alex's car went to a good home :thumb: I'd love to see some 8's from that bad boy too! You know what was crazy, I was there the night that Alex got a set of new gears for his trans and it was like watching a dad take home his new born, real genuine dedication right there!

my car is all stock, I want to run some exotic cars at the track heads up... not that it would be fair though...... :thumb:

I really dont know what to expect i would like to do some 11 sec runs. Anyone think its possible with my set up.. All mods are in profile but ill have a built motor by the time the track time comes around. ###### tuned at 25-30.. Let me know what you think

phillabaum03: if your car is 5 speed (which I assume) I would think you could run an 11. I see that you have an SSAC manifold but I'm kind of confused about the external gate that your running is it an SSAC too? I don't see why you couldn't get into the 11's unless your car isn't tuned very well. I don't post my quarter times because I race for money sometimes and I don't want anyone to know what the car will do. It's kind of a sleeper, check out my profile for pics. I'll PM you with my quarter mile times. We're not that far apart either, so I could help you with your tune if you need help with that

Trying to run a 9 @150Mph on my 18's then switch to some real tires and try to drop that ET down to match Mph.

Well I met my first goal of the year. In December I ran a 9.6 in the 1/8th. So I would've been happy as Michael Jackson being the leader of a Boy Scout troop if I would've pulled off a 7.9 in the 1/8th with slicks. Slapped on the slicks in Jan. and pulled off a 7.7 instead so did better than what I hoped for and took about 2 seconds off my time. That was on pump gas and no control of boost. By the end of the year I'll be happy if I can run a 7.0-7.1 in the 1/8th after I throw on some more mods, throw in higher octane, raise the boost, and have Dsmlink. If I hit 6's in the 1/8th, I'd splooge my undies. Lol.

Going racing again on Feb. 3rd and hoping to travel about 200 miles the following weekend to the nearest 1/4 mile track to see how I do in the 1/4. I'm sure I have to be in the 11's as it stands now.

Hopefully I break into the 12's. Pulled my tranny out today since it took a crap on my on saturday. I'll install the LSD sitting here in my living room, i have the slicks in the garage waiting for there first burnout, and throw some BC 272 and a decent tune.

Full weight spyder, driven to the track, raced, and driven back home with the top down:thumb:

The 2008 "drag season" is coming up soon and I was just curious to see what the community as a whole has in mind for their personal goals this year. Myself, I would like to see my car actually move under its own power, for the first time since I've owned it ROFL.

And run, a 13 maybe... LOL

What do you guys expect for yourselves?

iam just waiting for tax money. then a stage three shep tranns.:D
