10.18 isnt bad for that car all turbo..were u no lift shifting it or granny shifting? A turbo that size must fall on it's face if you granny shift it

ROFL Keep this in mind.......that was my first time "really" driving that car. I didn't granny shift it, but I didn't use all of my rpm's to my advantage, either. And yes, we learned that it REALLY falls on it's face when a driver granny shifts it! It's not really up to me to learn how to drive that car (it's not my car), it's up to me to learn how to maintain it and to strive to make it faster; so that's what I will attempt to do. I was just a "test pilot" that day....The real driver is getting geared up to get her license next month!

yea the rpm range on that thing is insane shifting at like 10k o baby

Make it to the track, im feeling pretty confident. Ill take a cruse to the track with you spyderturbo007. (Too bad im like 12+ hours from you)

Take as much weight off this thing as possible and be the fastest 420a on the bottle and try and break into the low 11's maybe even high 10's with enough juice to make me get out the car and run around like ricky boby.

Alex's car was crazy fast I thought I recognized that lazer. I did see him get owned by that mustang in philly though. When is pinks all out at englishtown I would love to go to that with the eclipse I watch that like white girls watch hanna montanna

that was a tough race for alex since that mustang supposely went like 8.30's or something crazy like that. But alex had luck on his side on the 2nd race cause when that guy blew the mustang up, alex took the win and the money

I am looking for 1.4 second 60's, low 9's with current tune on GT4088R, and mid 150's traps. The car is currently around 3100#.

Things to still do: larger injectors, install parachute & window net and finish the 10-point to be compliant with all specs.

You plan on spraying the car? I am asking because there's no way the 4088R will support another 100-200whp that you will need to attain your MPH goal at your current weight.

Run a mid 11 on boost and throw a bottle on it and run 10's. That is with the current set up.

No, I am not spraying the car. I do not have any worries about hitting mid 150's on 49psi. The car did 963HP at the crank on a 42psi setting. The 740AWHP was done on a mustang dyno, and the crank HP number above was calculated from the 30% drivetrain loss from the dyno.

Also, I was already doing 118mph in the 1/8th, and 147mph at the traps on 38psi. 153-156mph shouldn't be a major challenge.

Like I said in my last post; I maxed out the 1000cc injectors above 6200rpms at 42psi, and I am installing 1600cc injectors, so I will be able to pick up some more HP in the upper rpms from the lowered duty cycles.

I went and checked out your dyno thread and that's pretty crazy. Honestly, I was very skeptical until I saw the track numbers. Those numbers are unreal on a 4088R in a 3,100lb car. Garrett compressor maps say that that compressor can not flow more than 70lb/min. That's obviously not the case unless they slipped you some sleeper 42R wheels in there? Haha.. :sneaky::shhh: ROFL

Crazy!

Good luck this season. :thumb:

Hoping for a 12.5 or quicker by the end of the year. Ran a 13.1 with a s16g at 20psi. Since have added cams and a 20g so should at least see some 12s this year.

hoping for a single low 11 pass before needing more safety equipment. And not breaking anymore parts, and enjoy the car as-is.

hopefully i get my talon out from under the cover and acually enjoy driving the car let alone race it. the tsi bein under construction for about 2 years now, LOL, so hopefully with the time and money i put into it, it'll suprise me.

Yeah, funny you say that, because I was looking into stuffing a 4294R compressor wheel in it when I first purchased it in 2006 -- my Garrett dealer said that it couldn't be done way back when....then 2-3 months later...Garrett puts out the GT4094R. :tease:

I never thought I was going to do more than 700AWHP with this turbo, and I am now going to try for 800AWHP for 2008 season.

As for the 70#/min, sure, it can do that, but it can also exceed that! :thumb: They have always put a heck of alot of cushion on their numbers.

i am planning on fixing my rwd eclipse back to a awd when i get a new trans and after that i am hopefully gonna get out of the 13's and into the 12's. and then i amgonna take first place at this years import wars at union grove in the 13's bracket.

Get my rebuild finished first of all. Be competative in battle of the imports at MIR.

Run low 11's.

I need some seat time, that for certain.
