I know there are a couple threads on the topic but no definite answers. From what I've read I believe the 96-98 4 wire automatic Galant alternator will work with a 2GB, correct? Or will a manual one also work?

I've done a bit of research on this topic and ONLY the A/T 2.4L 96-98 Galants had the 90A from the factory, the reason being is because of the extra power draw for the tcu and electronics in the transmission.

You can also get a 2g N/A Spyder alternator since these were 90A units as well.
