From inside the car that I rolled in the dump sounded bad azz. Low and rumbly. Gets your attention when it opens up.

Sorry guys. My car decided it didn't want to be put back together for friday night :(. It fought me to no end and I finally just gave up. Hopefully I'll make it up to another test and tune here shortly.

i havent had a chance to get to the dyno, or track, rain issues, but i did get to run a heavly modded 03 corba, this thing had all bolt ons intake, ehxuast, chip, pulley, etc and a shot of nitrous. im still running at 16psi with egts at 780 at the end of 3rd gear, we ran from 2nd to the end of 4th and he got 4 cars on me. he told me he dynoed over 550whp and 650tq. im pretty excited about this turbo and its capabilities i just wish i had more time to work on it.

Ya I wouldn't be too worried about it either. 16 Psi untuned and a tuned Cobra only got 4 cars an you. Whoop de dooo.
ditto. Once you get tuned and start running more like 20-22 PSI on pump I'm sure you will be able to take that Cobra. If not take it at least hold your own. 4 Cars is a bit of length but considereing he is pusing 500+ HP I'm impressed.

Well, not to be hating, but in the Cobra's defense, it probably weigh's atleast 3700lbs. However, if that guy is making 550 to the ground, he's atleast trapping 125 minimum. I know a guy locally with a 3052 making good power and he's trapping 121'ish on racegas (4xx's) and that's impressive still in my book and he is making no where near 550 to the ground. The 3052 is a nice turbo, but it doesn't outflow your typical 50 trim like the green by that much ...I think by maybe 3lbs/min. Anyhow, all i'm saying is that at 22psi on pumpgas your not going to take a bolt on Cobra with juice. I was at the track last week and a Cobra with the same mod's you listed went 10.9's@127.

Hello...this is earth.........

BENCH RACE/
A cobra withn 450 traps in the low 120s so I imagine 550 would be in the high 120s easy. The 3052 isn't going to get you their untill you are close to maxing it out. It takes about 45-47 lb/min to trap 120 with over 20 deg timing. 55 lb/min and timing in the 20 deg range will get you in the upper 120s. 130s usually takes 60/min in a full weight car. /BENCHRACE

well to shed some light on this. me and the guy talked a while afterwards, before some mods he ran 12.0@120mph, now hes in the 125ish mph range, so even if i race him on race gas with 22psi its going to be a very close race between me and him, im pretty confident i can trap 120-122mph out of this thing.

i still cannot figure out what i've done wrong. i've got a frank 2, 680cc inj, walbro 255 fp, 3" turbo back, safc, logger, 38mm tial wg, ect.. i'm pushing 17psi and went to the track the other day. my best run was a 14.1 @ 98mph. logger states i'm getting 19 deg timing at 7K and .98 on my o2's. my friend has a 20G with the same setup and is running a 12.4 @ 110. only diff is he has DSMLINK (studderbox). he says he forced timing with link and is getting 26 deg timing at 7K. i cannot even get off the line anymore from the lag even if i hit the rev limiter at launch. i've tried to brake boost, two step, i'm lost. any suggestions since you guys are hauling major ass.

i just wanted some advise from DSM and others with a similar setup. putting a new post up like this is like getting advise from every guesser out there. i get so many diff opinions and answers that it's hard to even know who actually knows what they are talking about.

to cfisher. Take some fule out of your car, and turn up the boost. Your timing advance will go up once you get your duty cyles down. .98 is reduiculous. If you know what you are doing, you can safle get it down to the .82, .80 regon with no knock. I have a 50 trim, big FMIC and all the goodies, I sit at .82 volts, no knock, 26 deg advance, and that is not "forced" timing, it is what the stocker computer likes.

As for the Cobra, I pulled on a 541whp cobra. He runs 10.8's@126 quite cosistently. I was at 23-24psi and pump gas. 60mph roll, he got a car on me while I was spinning 3rd gear, 4th, I had a door, 5th, had about 3 cars on him when I hit the rev limiter.

so your saying your o2's at WOT are only .82. that's way to lean isn't it. .92 is what i've been aiming for. i'm already at -37 on my highs on my safc and have been slowly leaning it out but seems like my timing is not going up even when i lean it. i'll try -40 and run another log.

Kinda hi-jacking the thread, but can your FPR turn DOWN the fuel pressure? If so, turn it down.

i know, i hi-jacked the thread. sorry guys. just seems 90% of the people on tuners don't know what they are talking about and you guys do so that's why i asked. i put a new post in the tuning forum.
