fmic install help

Alright guys I have a 92 talon tsi and I have had a jdm fmic lying around.. how do I connect the fmic piping to the stock throttle body and j pipe? Thanks

What do you mean by JDM, Is it a kit for the eagle talon?

Its probably a universal for a honda, Depends on how you would set it up, i had to cut into my sub frame to get mine to fit but i took it of because i didnt like the way it sit on there an the brackets werent strong enough for the 4g63. so i cracked it haha. but yea, post pics an we can help you

Got it from miller import parts and he said it was on a 1g talon so it better work and i'll post pics up in a few minutes.. I have the stock throttle body pipe that came on the car and the j pipe for the 14b which are both a lot smaller then the piping..

Alright so how do I attach my much larger piping to these stock pieces?

before you put it on get a 2g elbow. get rid of the 1g elbow. an the stock jpipe can work but you might need a long coupler or stock hose. any pics of the fmic an piping

Hmm how much is that? Trying to spend a lot of $ right now and i'll have to take some toomaro.

well it wont work because the ports are to small 2g is a upgrade unless you order the whole kit with the elbow an all. because your losing power with the 1g elbow

Well right now its about getting the car running and not about power loss haha it is my winter car and I need to get it ready.

well you will still need to upgrade it because the 1g elbow port is to small. unless you use the stock hosing an use metal piping from fmic to the bov pipe an lead it to the j pipe. im gonna get a srt4 fmic because the ports face inside an its a shorter route for the air to flow. but how were you planning on running it?

There are many different reducer couplers and weld on reducers so it most certainly will work with a little fabrication.

Its really difficult to tell you if it will work without seeing the pieces of piping you have for your intercooler kit. if you take pictures of the piping you have that would help. and if all else fails...we are running a SUPER deep discount on our kits.

you can find a elbow for like 25-30 bucks bro, i was looking an found some guys parting some 2gs. so get at them an see if you can get some parts oh an if they have the 2g mafs get it also an the connection because its better air flow an it will help you run better on fuel

I actually found some reducer couplers half the price but need to get one from 2.5 inches to 2.. And I think I already have a 2g maf haha thanks for the info though!

Not sure if you got this installed or not, but your going to have to pull out the head lights and remove the bummer support. The front should look something like this.

Ummm, that's a 2G FMIC kit. Won't be a fun job fitting that to a car it was never intended to be installed on.

oh man i almost threw up on myself when he said jdm fmic, sorry.
but have you even tried mocking it up and see what parts you need as in couplers, more pipping. looks like your going to have a long route fmic.
mock it up and go from there, but save yourself the trouble and hassle and just save up and get a used fmic thats intended to be on a 1g dsm. the money you'll spend on couplers, clamps, time and headache isn't worth it.
