I have the same intercooler and yes you are going to cut the left side of the bumper support and your are going to do this on both sides. I have no idea why it's not on his site?
One last thing your very right you have to cut a lot more out then is pictured and explained on his web site. But I guess everything has to be modfied to fit in some way. Hope this helps?

thanx for the help guys... my pipings were nice and red but now after trying to install it, its all ugly looking... oh..well as long as my car runs at this point.. :thumb:

are most people driving around without a bumper support..? if not, what did you guys used to cut the big old bumper support..?

alright never mind... this isn't even my daily driver, might as well do some weight reduction and forget about the bumper support...

SAWZALL is your friend. I have to trim the crash beam support too. I didn't used the crash beam at all.

You are going to have to wack off the inner two mounting holes on the support bracket for the bumper. I think you are going to have to also cut about half the bumpers inside out to fit the IC in their.

My FMIC is much larger and I just cut out the top bumber cover mounting location from the bumper. If I get into a head on collision I'll just have to say good bye to a lot of items on the car. I think even if you kept part of the bumper it might just bend in and still kill your FMIC. I was looking for weight reduction and that bumber is fairly heavy. You can use a sawzall or take it down to a welding shop and have them just torch off what you don't need. Should cost you but $20 for the service.
