Ok here is whats hapening I have a bar and plate side to side fmic and im trying to install it on my car. Now I have the passenger side completely done but the driver side I just cant find where to route it. I thought I can make a hole on the frame right next to the alternator but when I made my first hole I came to find something there that belongs to the crossmember. Can someone with an awd or someone that knows about the problem im having give me some advise I want to finish this install already but it's giving me a hard time.   :dsm:

What brand core are you using? If its a Dejon race core or some equivalent you are gonna have to do some minor cutting to the radiator support.

That's where I thought the majority of them had to be routed. When I had my FP core that is exactly where the pipe would have had to been routed since the end tanks came right around the end of the radiator and the inlet and outlets just pointed straight towards the back of the car.

The only problem that I ran into was the power steering line that ran through that side of the radiator support got right in the way. If I would have kept that core I would have been moving that line for sure.

Would there be a way that you can post some pics so i can see exactly where i should cut ??? Also my outlets face side to side "ex. < - > , not facing towards the back of the car

I wish that I still had my core and the front bumper off so I could just take some pics of the places that you need to cut. If you go to dejon's new website which is www.dejonpowerhouse.com and go the fmic section for their big front mount, they have a pic of where you need to cut and a small explanation of where you need to cut as well. You basically need to widen the whole on the side where the power steering lines comes through so you can fit the lower intercooler pipe in there.

Your best bet is to still run the pipes through those two holes. I don't know what else to tell you. That is where the majority of the people on these forums are going to route the pipes because it is the easiest and the shortest way to get from the turbo to the intercooler and then from the intercooler to the throttle body.

I have been seaching evey since my first post to try to find somebody that has taken pics of this but I can't find anything. I am surprised that nobody has done a write up on this. The only thing that I can find is piping for top to bottom flowing intercoolers and the supra smic.

I know I probably annoyed some people already but posting this picture, but since this question is being asked frequently, I'll post it again.

This is our typical rounting place for ebay fmics.
This is 24" long core, 31" end tank to end tank, so youre should have even more room to do this:

Wow, that is one heck of a bend coming from the turbo and looks like it required a lot of welding. Glad you posted that, I had no idea that was what you guys were doing with the ebay front mounts. Have fun with the install :thumb:
